Being really good at what you do can become a trap.

You become the person everyone relies on. The person who solves the problems. The person people call when something needs doing.

But what happens when everything depends on you?

That’s one of the questions I’m exploring through BizTalkWithAlexandru: real conversations about engineering, business, manufacturing, performance and how people turn their skills and experience into something more.

We’re building a media platform for people who actually do things — engineers, contractors, technicians, builders, business owners and problem solvers.

If that sounds like you, follow the page, connect with us and tell us what you’re working on.

Watch and follow the build on YouTube: https://youtube.com/?si=hNnh3nC6zW7F36Ly

We also welcome enquiries about public speaking at business events, podcast appearances and collaborations with people who share our values.

You don’t need to be famous to have a story worth hearing.

If you’ve built something, solved a difficult problem, made a mistake that taught you something, or learned something the hard way — I want to hear about it.

BizTalkWithAlexandru is about real people, real experience and the lessons that come from actually doing the work.

🎙️ Think you’ve got a story worth sharing?

DM me PODCAST and tell me:
• Who you are
• What you do
• What you’ve built or experienced
• The story you think is worth talking about

No sales pitch. No polished CV required.

Just a good conversation.

I’ve updated this post with the correct recruitment link after GTR refreshed their original vacancy post.

Every expert was once a beginner.

One opportunity. One decision. One person willing to say, “We’ll give you a chance.”

If you’re looking for a career in advanced manufacturing—or you know someone who is—this is 180 seconds worth watching.

👇 Tag someone who needs to see this today.

Share this video with them or tag them below.

Sometimes the biggest opportunities arrive disguised as an ordinary post.

Transparency matters. This is not a sponsored post. No one asked me to make this video. I’m sharing it because I believe in recognising businesses that invest in people and help strengthen UK manufacturing. That’s exactly what BizTalkWithAlexandru is about.

Most people see a warning light and book a garage. Sometimes the real lesson isn’t fixing the car—it’s learning to solve the problem yourself.

👇 Be honest… what would you have done first? Book it into a garage or diagnose it yourself? Comment “Garage” or “DIY” and let’s see how engineers think differently.

⚠️ The Trap Nobody Talks About ⚠️

Some of the highest-paid contractors I know are still trapped in the same cycle they were 10 years ago. This isn’t about working harder… it’s about building something that outlives your next contract.

I’ve been thinking about bringing together just 50 contractors, engineers and business owners who are serious about building something bigger than their next pay cheque.

If that sounds like the kind of room you should be in, comment “ROOM” below or send me a DM saying “ROOM”.

I’m curious to see how many people are genuinely ready to build something meaningful. 👇

Every Entrepreneur Should Wash Their Own Car Once In A While

A sunny Saturday, a pressure washer, and a reminder that not everything in life needs outsourcing.

Would you rather spend £30 every week at a car wash, or an hour doing it yourself? Curious where people stand on this.

The Biggest Mistake Business Owners Make

Most people spend decades becoming experts and never learn how to explain their value.

If you’ve been hiding behind your business instead of talking about it, maybe it’s time people heard your story. Follow for more conversations at the intersection of engineering, business and entrepreneurship.

We’re Few… But We’re Good

A simple lesson from a busy seafood restaurant that changed how I think about teams forever.

Have you experienced this in your own business or workplace?
