I think I've already mentioned how delighted and proud I am to be working with the wonderful The Motherless Mothers charity - they do a wide range of things to support women navigating motherhood without the support of their own mum.

In September I'm going to be facilitating an online session for mothers whose mums have died in the last two years. It's for an hour in the evening and as well as a whole group chat, there'll be an opportunity to speak in small groups to other mums who share similar experiences.

There's also a general drop-in group, one for those mothers whose mums died when they were under 12, and one for mums who are estranged from their mother.

If you're involved with the amazing and also often incredibly stressful Edinburgh Fringe, there is free support out there for you... I know a couple of people who found this really helpful last year.

And if you visit a show and would like to recommend it, please add it to the comment s- I'm always on the lookout for things to see, and find the choice overwhelming and off-putting so I'm grateful for any pointers! 🌻

How do you remember those you love? 🥰

I've recently acquired a small section of an allotment, which is wonderful 🌻 and have divided it into 6 wee beds. Several people close to me have lost their mums in recent times, and so, rather than just number each bed, we decided to name them after our mums (and my dad, who got me into gardening) and decorate a stone for each of them. I think they look beautiful, and I'm looking forward to spending time with all these wonderful women (and man) when gardening.

One of the things I love about my work is being alongside people as they come up with ways to keep their loved ones who've died in their every day life. I'd be delighted if you'd share the ways you do this...💞

I'm delighted to have started working with the wonderful charity The Motherless Mothers.

They offer free counselling, support groups and a huge range of resources for mums who don't have their mum around, for whatever the reason. The charity also campaigns for better support and awareness around navigating motherhood without a mum, and many resources for professionals.

I've shared before how wonderful I think Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief is - so many of us are scared of thinking/talking about death, and yet it's something that affects us all, and this organisation works in creative ways throughout communities to support all of us, no matter what stage we're at in life, dying or grieving.

This week, there are a wide variety of events throughout Scotland and online to get us more comfortable around death -there's even an escape room game, which I love the sound of and am slightly horrified by at the same time!
