Here we go then… the contract is signed and the worst kept secret is finally out!

I’m really pleased to announce that I have taken on The Bowd and can’t wait to welcome you all.

For those who don’t know me, two years ago I took on The Heathfield Inn in Honiton, transforming it into one of the town’s best loved pubs. A year later, with the best team of people, we added The Thirsty Farmer in Whimple to our portfolio. Earlier this year we opened a craft butchery in Honiton, The Crafty Cleaver, supplying both pubs and soon to be supplying The Bowd Inn.

I have always loved The Bowd and am so excited to be its next owner. I actually worked at The Bowd 16 years ago so this feels very full circle!

Thank you to Carole and Darren for their brilliant handover, everyone is wishing you all the best.

We open Monday with a new menu (all will be revealed soon) and of course, the carvery will remain and restart from Wednesday 15th October.

🌳💥 When the customer said they wanted a bit more sunlight in the garden… I don’t think this is quite what they meant! 😅

A storm decided to give us a hand (or rather, a massive tree branch) — and now it’s my job to turn this woodland chaos back into a peaceful garden.

I’ll be carefully cutting everything back, clearing the space, and making sure it’s safe, tidy, and ready to enjoy again — with plenty of firewood as a bonus 🔥

If your garden’s had a run-in with Mother Nature recently, or just needs a bit of TLC, you know who to call — I’ll bring the calm after the storm 🌿
