🔥 Do you have a PS5 overheating problem?🔥 Happy to get this console back to its owner and ready for action.

This PS5 suffered from overheating and was taken in to be looked at.

Once we had the covers off it was obvious what was causing an issue! Upon further inspection we found there was a dry spot on the APU!

We cleaned the APU and Heatsink , re-applied the liquid metal and now it's good to go💪🏼💪🏼

🚨 PS5 HDMI Repair Nightmare...SOLVED! 🚨
Just had a customer bring in their PS5 for an HDMI port repair. They'd previously sent it to another not local repair shop, hoping to get it fixed.

When we opened it up, we discovered that the HDMI port had been replaced, but two crucial filters were missing AND the HDMI port capacitor was gone! 🤯

But here's the good news!

At Wink Tech Repair, we don't back down from a challenge! 💪 We changed HDMI port as a precaution then sourced and replaced the missing filters, and installed a brand new capacitor. 🛠️
We're thrilled to announce that this PS5 is now fully repaired and back in action! 🎉

This week I was contacted to take a look at a PlayStation 5 with a faulty disk drive!

The console was taking the disk in as you would expect but was unable to read the disk.

With the covers removed i spotted a missing screw and the warranty seal had been tampered with! Once i had removed the plastic case I was able to remove the disk drive. Which upon inspection had been opened previously as you can tell with the foil tamper tape on the side.

Some eagle eyed people with experience of working inside these will be able to spot an issue inside the disk drive. There was a ribbon cable inserted the wrong way!! I gave the head a clean with some ipa and a cotton swab before putting everything back together the correct way and testing the console.

The console is now able to read disks again and is ready for more action!
