Many parents don’t know this, so a quick heads up for families in North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire.

If you qualify for free school meals and apply, your child’s school can receive extra funding as well as providing the meals.

More registered pupils = more support money for the school. That funding is used for extra resources, targeted help and pupil support.

Key point:
Even though all P1 to P5 pupils get free lunches automatically, you should still apply if you meet the benefit criteria. Automatic meals do not always count toward school funding. Approved applications do.
If you might be eligible, it is worth applying. It helps your child and it helps the school.

Thank you so much for having us as part of Development Week. It was a real privilege to deliver the training session and to spend time with such an engaged and thoughtful group.
We loved the open discussions, the curiosity, and the willingness to reflect on autistic and neurotypical experiences side by side. Spaces like this, where people feel able to ask questions and genuinely think differently, are where real change starts.
We really appreciate the kind feedback and would absolutely welcome working with other groups and organisations who want practical, neuro affirming training led from lived experience.

✨ Our Summer Trips ✨

Third summer on the road with our Travelling Classroom – and still going strong! 🚆🌞 Five fab trips this summer packed with fun, laughter and adventure. on the train for our Travelling Classroom and onto Motherwells Immersive room or the Glasgow Science Center

This summer so far we enjoyed the company of:

2 trips with Safety Zone Bargeddie

2 trips with the SCMA Childminders (Cumbernauld & Bargeddie)

1 trip with Lesley’s group Cumbernauld

Thanks to Avanti, ScotRail and Cross Country for funding these wonderful days out as part of their inclusivity initiative 🙌

🚂✨ Here are some more pictures from our amazing trip last week with the Scottish Childminders Association (SCMA)! We had a blast on the train, enjoying a fun quiz about autism, and then spent an incredible day at the science centre. The childminders and children were an absolute delight! 🎉

This fantastic day out was generously funded by ScotRail and Cross Country, and made possible in partnership with Suzie at Tocsa Solutions. We are thrilled with how the day turned out and can't wait to work more with all of them, including SCMA. Stay tuned for more adventures! 🌟👧👦

A huge THANK YOU to Safety Zone Bargeddie for joining our trip today to promote inclusivity on the railways.

We had loads of fun exploring the Motherwell Sensory Experience, We even did a fun sensory activity on the train!

The event was funded by ScotRail and Cross Country. Plus, the lovely Suzie McCheyne from Tocsa Solutions joined us.

Exploring the Science Centre! 🧪🔬

After a thrilling train ride, we spent the rest of the day at the Science Centre. Hope you enjoy the pics
