You pick up your prescription and something looks different.

Most people just take it anyway. But you're allowed to ask.

In Scotland, you can ask your pharmacist to double-check. You can request a medication review. And if something's changed from your usual prescription, you should always ask why.

It's not being difficult. It's looking after yourself.

Stepping off wet Glasgow pavement straight onto polished subway tiles is basically an extreme sport. Transition zones are notorious slip spots during a downpour, so mind your footing on the concourse this week. Have you ever had a near miss entering the Subway in the rain?

Scottish mornings are already darker and it's only August. Before the clocks go back, here's 4 things worth checking on your car now, not in November when you're scraping ice in the dark wondering why your wipers are useless.

Save this. Or better yet, send it to whoever's been driving about with one brake light for the last 6 months. You know who.

Most people think secondhand smoke at work is just an outdoor annoyance, but in Scotland, employers have a strict legal duty to protect staff from smoke drifting indoors. Moving your desk away from a smoking door isn't a favour, it's basic workplace safety. Is your workplace smoking area positioned properly, or is it way too close for comfort?

Has anyone else noticed the "Grand Canyon" forming just off the High Street in Paisley?

A quick heads-up for anyone cycling or driving that way, a local rider had a nasty spill on it recently, ending up with a bent wheel and three stitches. The frustrating part is it’s been growing for a few weeks now.

It's so easy to just get used to dodging these mini-lochs on our daily commute, but they can be genuinely dangerous, especially for bikes and motorbikes. Keep an eye out if you're heading that way today, and stay safe.

Have you noticed any other craters popping up locally that people should be warned about?

Most folk in Scotland are paying ÂŁ400+ a year for car insurance and don't actually know what their excess means until they need to use it.

Here's the thing: if the accident wasn't your fault, you can often get your excess back. Your insurer isn't going to volunteer that information.

5 slides. 5 things most drivers don't realise. Have a read and save it for later.

A 12-minute standoff on a single-track road isn't just frustrating it’s exactly how dangerous blind overtakes happen. Passing places are for passing, not parking. Let's share the road, keep our patience, and get everyone home safe.

What's your worst single-track standoff story?

Reported a pothole months ago and still waiting? Reports are usually logged, inspected and prioritised, so keep the confirmation and date. That timestamp creates a useful paper trail. Have you reported one that’s still there?

Stirling’s historic cobbles look brilliant after a summer shower, but that shine can mean less grip underfoot. Take shorter steps on the Old Town slopes, keep the dog close, and mind your footing. Which Stirling street gets especially slick in the rain?
