Busy week of back to back interviews as we onboard new participants into the Entrepreneurs Pathways Lab at . Every conversation has been really energising and inspiring 🤩 People with real talent and ambition to start their own business in Scotland. The range of business ideas coming through is impressive. Workshops begin next week and I’m looking forward to supporting each person with the team at TRH as they build and grow their new ventures.

💭 “I just felt flat after that meeting…like I wasn’t doing enough.”

That’s what a client told me recently, after comparing her progress to a colleague’s during a staff update.
Same role. Same team.
But different region. Different pressures. Different personal reality.

Even though she’s showing up daily, trying to keep burnout at bay - that old “not enough” feeling crept in.

Here’s what I reminded her (and often remind myself too):

You’re not behind. You’re on your path.
Success isn’t a race - it’s alignment with your own energy, values, and season.

If comparison has been stealing your peace lately, pause and ask yourself:
What does success look like for me - with the energy I actually have, and the season I am in?

You deserve a definition of progress that honours your whole self.

🌻 Rise & Thrive September Focus Workshop 🌻
Marketing Yourself with Confidence & Clarity

This month our community gathered across 3 time zones to tackle one of the toughest topics for many creatives and entrepreneurs: marketing without the dread.

💡 Key reflections:
• Marketing isn’t about shouting into the void - it’s about connection.
• Clarity grows from action, not waiting until it’s perfect.
• Your story builds trust - the spark, the shift, and the now.
• The right opportunities often come from showing up consistently and authentically.

👥 Members left with simple, practical steps to:
• Draft a sharper intro/offer
• Experiment with “showing up” (even if just recording a video for themselves)
• Pull social content from real client scenarios

It’s so much better diving into these challenges WITH OTHERS. Less pressure, less performance and more clarity, confidence, and encouragement.

Her debut poetry collection Love, Mothers & Matriarchs is launching this Tuesday 2nd September at 7pm at Avant Garde Music Bar, King Street, Glasgow – hosted by Seahorse Publications alongside Val Waldron’s new collection There is Always an Edge.

📚 Expect powerful words, warm hearts, and a night of music and poetry in the city.

✨ Client Success Story ✨ After a long and successful career in the banking sector, Jen took a career break to focus on her wellbeing and caring responsibilities.

Coming back into the job market after a pause can feel daunting - especially when you’re exploring a new industry entirely.

But this week, after smashing her second interview, Jen was offered (and accepted!) a new role at Glasgow Airport! 🙌 ✈️
