Hi everyone, hope your all good. So, I thought I'd post about the very informative training I attended recently on 'Voltage Optimisation' with the Energy Savings Trust.

Essentially, voltage optimisation its about stabilising the voltage flow throughout a premise, so that the equipment does not degrade faster and needs replaced as quickly- most technological equipment work optimally at 220V, however electrical supply by the grid is higher than necessary (240-240V).

A voltage optimiser however can resolve this problem, it is installed between a building's main distribution board and the electrical supply to reduce the incoming voltage to the optimal level of 220V to make sure equipment only receives what it needs. The overall benefits of an optimiser include longer lifespan of your electrical equipment without affecting their performance. Energy bills can be reduced by 5-15%, lowering your carbon footprint. This can help you save money in the long term and work towards your or your businesses environmental goals.

This training signifies a trend towards lower electrical usage and carbon footprint, obviously that's important currently as the price cap rise results in higher electric and gas bills, especially during winter- a time that can be difficult for many households and businesses.
