📣 Our latest project is now open for investments! 📣

We plan to install 18kWp of solar panels and 14.4kWh of battery storage at 1st Chipping Sodbury Scout Hut, reducing energy bills and carbon emissions. The building is heavily used by Chipping Sodbury preschool during the day, and the various Scout sections in the evenings, making it an ideal and deserving site for a community energy installation.

You are invited to invest between £250 and £5000 towards the total share offer of £20,000, and we expect to pay interest of 3.5% per year. We plan to run the share offer until the end of July, but investments are accepted on a first come, first served basis, so don't delay and miss this opportunity to invest in local and low-carbon energy.

*** UPDATE 27 September - now FULLY SUBSCRIBED! Thank you ***
** Will you help us complete our latest green energy project? **
Following our successful Minchinhampton Primary Academy solar roof project, installed in 2022, we are pleased to offer our latest opportunity to join GCEC by investing in a new project in Minchinhampton. This will see PV panels and a heat pump installed at the Minchinhampton Community Hub – the sunny aspect of their roof is ideal for solar panels. Their ageing gas heating system will also be replaced, cutting carbon emissions from about 10 tonnes per year to around 0.6.

For full prospectus and Ts&Cs see our web site: https://gloscommenergy.org.uk/

We look forward to having you join us!

Minchinhampton C of E Academy Primary School, East roof looking smart with it's full set of PV Panels, West Roof slate removal underway and internal gubbins mostly working - mostly because we're still having massive problems with the metering. At least the school is benefiting from some true green solar energy during this beautiful weather even if no one's sure how much!

Completion of Minchinhampton C of E Academy Primary School east roof expected Monday 9th May. As install has taken longer than expected Solarsense are working on a new schedule hoping to complete the second roof in July. The east roof is to be made operational in the meantime, providing around half the final output of valuable green solar electricity to the school.
