Recently, I've found myself a diary from Dunelm, ingeniously designed for morning and evening reflections. It's become a crucial part of starting and ending my day with intention, focusing on my thoughts, emotions, and self-care goals. I thought sharing this could inspire and perhaps bring a glimmer of hope to someone's life. To share and inspire, I've decided to write articles and share my habits and thoughts.
Let's rewind to last night. With a head full of thoughts, ideas, and future plans, my sleep quality was dwindling. From previous experience, I know that only concrete actions are truly effective (a topic deserving its own post on strategic planning and implementation). So, my formula for a restful sleep includes:
- Being in bed between 21:00 and 21:30, sans phone and harsh lights, embracing tranquillity.
- Lately, I've been using a super-natural (far from mass-market) lavender essential oil before sleep.
- For the past two nights, I've experimented with playing sleep music at the lowest comfortable volume for 8 hours... a new experience for me, but it's working. This prevents me from waking up to a flood of thoughts.
My morning began at 6 AM, feeling refreshed and full of energy. After indulging in a morning meditation session (finally found some great Ukrainian authors), I moved on to brainstorm a list of services I can offer, along with their pricing (still a work in progress), catching some insights on potential business development.
After reviewing several practical lessons, the kids joined me around 7:20 AM, and we quietly cuddled while I continued with my tasks. Breakfast preparation followed (relatively healthy, as weekends are my cheat days compared to nutritious weekdays—more on this aspect of my life later).
For breakfast, I opt for warm water with lemon (currently using essential oil instead of actual lemon) and a "clean drink" - boiled water with cumin and coriander.
But before the breakfast in addition to my morning routine, I've taken some significant steps towards my personal and professional development:
- I wrote this article to share a slice of my life and insights.
- I registered a new business email to establish a more professional communication channel.
- I attempted to create a blog on a platform within 30 minutes, which turned out to be unsuccessful... I realised I needed a bit more time to do it properly😁
- Finally, I decided to publish this article to kickstart sharing my journey.
Plans for the rest of the day include:
- Conducting a dance lesson 💃
- Tackling the unfortunate task of cleaning mould from the wardrobe 😔
- Spending quality time with family 👨👩👧👦
- Ensuring I go to bed on time, in a peaceful and clean environment.
Through sharing my routine and insights, I hope to inspire others to find their own balance and joy in the daily grind. It's about the little moments that lead to big changes, and I'm here to share every step of the way.
