Being good at your job and depending on your job are two different things.
You can turn up on time, hit your targets and get good feedback, and still know somewhere at the back of your mind that one restructure could change a lot.

For many of us living abroad, one salary is carrying more than one household. That’s a lot to rest on a single employer’s decisions.
Your 9–5 is not the enemy. It can pay the bills, give you stability and fund whatever you decide to build next. But a job is something you do. Options are something you build.
And building options doesn’t mean quitting or panicking. It can start small: learning a new skill, understanding how an online business actually works, asking better questions about what else is possible alongside your career.
It takes learning, effort and consistency. But starting while you’re still stable is very different from starting because you’re forced to.
If you’ve been quietly wondering what else you could build, what’s the one thing you’d want to understand first?
