FASCINATING from a marketing POV. Here’s why...

I’ve stolen my daughter’s pics from our London trip last week to see the Xmas lights.

🍟 First up you get a menu and choose your soft toy β€˜fish’, β€˜chips’, sausage’ and even β€˜peas’ from the menu – at, ahem, Β£40 or Β£50 a pop.

🍟 Then you queue.

🍟 Then an assistant at the counter pretends to shake on salt and vinegar (again from soft toys) and your purchase gets wrapped in newspaper.

Bonkers.
But they’re selling trawler loads.

According the assistant, last week the queues were 7 hours long.

This isn’t isolated. It's is bang on what global insights for 2026 are predicting. Here’s Google’s Insights Manager, Pablo Perez is saying:

I’m not saying to go down this route. It’s totally OTT. πŸ˜‚ Never mind the sustainability aspect.

But - it may be worth thinking about what experiential or wellbeing value you might add to your offering to stay competitive in 2026…

Immediate rewards and new experiences that enhance wellbeing are not going away any time soon...
