A quick reminder for employers:

If you pay PAYE, National Insurance or CIS electronically, the payment deadline is 22 June.

Leaving it until the last minute can be risky, especially if there are banking delays or approval processes involved.

☀️ Summer is coming.

If your business tends to slow down over the holiday period, now is the time to review cashflow and upcoming commitments.

The best time to prepare for a quieter month is before it arrives.

Many business owners start the year with a plan and then hesitate to revisit it when things change.

But forecasts aren't set in stone.

If the year hasn't gone to plan, don't ignore the numbers. Review them, adjust your forecast, and make decisions based on where the business is now, not where you hoped it would be.

The most successful businesses adapt.

Halfway through the year already!

For many business owners, that makes now a good time to pause and look at the numbers. Are profits where you expected them to be? Is cashflow behaving as planned? Have any tax liabilities started to creep up?

A simple review now can help avoid surprises later and keep the second half of the year on track.

For a lot of seasonal businesses, summer does the heavy lifting.

The problem is that strong summer income can create a false sense of comfort if cashflow, tax and quieter months haven’t been planned for properly.

If your business earns most of its income during the riding and event season, now’s the time to look ahead, not when winter arrives.

A bit of planning now usually means fewer surprises later.
