Outreach seems so simple on the surface, yet the amount of people that get it wrong is spectacular. Largely it’s not most peoples’ fault, it’s very difficult to find a source that doesn’t give some generic advice like “It’s a numbers game”. Relying on their “I help X do X” statement
Every business owner and their grandma are using these and to be quite honest, no one really cares anymore. How many consistent meetings have you booked because of that recently? Anything less than more than you can handle isn’t good enough. The truth is people ignore what they are used to seeing, and they see this type of thing from everyone!
Inability to make Data based Decisions
This is the most foundation skill in outreach and EVERYTHING ELSE in business, how else can you expect to make the best decisions possible? If (and it’s a big if) business owners get to the stage of realising how important this is they’ll either not apply it to outreach, or even worse have a very poor understanding on the relationship of different metrics. I’ll give you a clue… metrics aren’t all created equal so reading them as a linear chain is WRONG.
