You won’t believe what’s actually hiding inside your vacuum

I see this all the time. People think their machine is just worn out or not as good as it used to be

Reality is, it’s completely clogged inside

This one came in with hardly any suction. Took it apart and straight away you can see the issue

Most vacuums don’t break, they just get blocked up over time

If yours isn’t performing like it should, it’s probably not dead, just needs sorting 👍

You won’t believe what came out of this… 😳
A little behind-the-scenes of how I work…

Every vacuum I service gets stripped down, cleaned, and rebuilt on my work mat, so as you can imagine, it takes a fair bit of dirt throughout the day. Once each job is done, I always vacuum the mat to keep things clean and also to test the machine before it's done.

So realistically, this mat gets vacuumed multiple times, every single day.

But here’s the interesting part 👇

I had RJB carpet cleaning services come in and carry out a proper carpet clean on the mat, and just look at the water that came out 😳

That’s AFTER constant vacuuming.

It just shows, no matter how good your vacuum is, it will only ever remove surface debris. The deep-down dirt, dust, and grime still builds up over time.

If you want a true deep clean, especially in high-traffic areas, a professional carpet clean makes a massive difference.
Thank you RJB carpet cleaning services
Definitely an eye-opener even for me 👍

Another one in today and unfortunately, not a cheap fix.
Customer allowed builders to use their vacuum during decorating work… and as you can see from the photos, the motor is completely packed with fine sawdust. This isn’t just surface dirt, it’s been pulled straight through the machine, clogging and damaging the motor beyond repair.
Domestic vacuums are NOT designed for construction dust. Fine particles like plaster and sawdust pass straight through filters and end up destroying internal components.
⚠️ Quick warning: If you’ve got decorators, builders, or anyone doing dusty work in your home — make sure they’re using a proper commercial / trade vacuum. It only takes one job like this to write off an otherwise good machine.
In this case, the motor will need replacing to get it back up and running.
If you’re unsure whether your vacuum is suitable for a job, or want advice before something like this happens, feel free to ask 👍
