The first 30 years. Now for the next. ❤️

When Selva and I exchanged rings in 1996, we could never have known where the next three decades would take us.

Since then, we have grown together, raised our family, built things we once only imagined and supported one another through every chapter along the way.

Thirty years later, we exchanged rings again — celebrating not only the years behind us, but everything we still hope to experience and achieve together.

There is something very special about being able to look back and realise how much of the journey has been shared.

Here’s to the next 30 years, Selva. ❤️

Good governance is rarely the most visible part of an organisation, but it shapes everything that follows.

Clear decisions, accountability and consistent standards create the foundations that allow people and institutions to grow with confidence.

For me, strong leadership is not only about setting direction. It is also about creating the structures and standards that help others succeed.

Being the first to achieve something is meaningful. But its impact becomes greater when it helps create a pathway for someone else.

Opportunity should have a ripple effect — opening doors, raising aspirations and making progress easier for those who follow.

I did it — 13.1 miles completed.

Yesterday I crossed the finish line of The Big Half, after running through London from Tower Bridge to Greenwich. It was tough, emotional and absolutely worth it.

I took on the challenge to raise money for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity, supporting the treatment, research and care that makes such a difference to people living with complex orthopaedic conditions.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, sent messages, encouraged me and supported me along the way. Knowing people were behind me genuinely helped when the miles started to hurt.

I am very proud to have completed it — and even more pleased that the challenge has helped support such an important cause.

As students return to classrooms for a new academic year, I hope they do so with excitement for everything that lies ahead.

Education can open doors, create opportunities and help young people discover strengths they may not yet know they have. Every lesson, challenge and new experience is part of that journey.

Strong institutions are not built through occasional moments of excellence. They are built through what happens every day.

Reputation is shaped by thousands of decisions: the standards we maintain, the expectations we set, how we respond when things go wrong and the consistency with which we approach our work.

For excellence to last, it cannot depend on one person. It has to become part of an institution’s culture, systems and way of working.

That consistency is what allows organisations to grow without losing sight of the standards on which they were built.

There is something very special about seeing the Pankaj name associated with an award that stands for peace, understanding and positive change.

The Pankaj Award to End Conflict recognises individuals and initiatives working to bring people together, resolve conflict and create stronger, more inclusive communities around the world.

As Selva prepares to present the award at the One Young World Summit 2026 in South Africa, I am incredibly proud of what this moment represents — not simply for our family, but for the young leaders whose courage and commitment the award exists to celebrate.

Real change often begins with people who are willing to listen, understand different perspectives and take action when it matters.

I am looking forward to seeing another remarkable changemaker recognised on the global One Young World stage. 🤝🌍
