Plastic Piled retaining wall in Walton Le Dale, Preston

Here we have a short video clip 🎥 showing the overall process of this recently completed project.

The client came to us knowing there was issues with the soil banking and the site had poor ground conditions. Groundwork Services was more than happy to give our advise and a solution to revolve the issue. After a site inspection we confirmed due to access of the site and the condition of the previous support we would need to use the plastic sheet piled solutions.

In just 5 days we have completed the below:

Prepared the site ready for equipment ✅
Taken down old fence/banking support✅
Installation of 26nr of 3.5mtr plastic piles ✅
Install 52nr of 100mm x 4mtr timber posts✅
Install plastic pile capping top✅
Installation of 20mm drainage stone ✅
Clean site and remove old materials ✅

Another enjoyable job completed within the day, helped by the amazing weather. 14mtrs of trenches and slab reduction excavated to clients required depths, spoil removed from site and area cleaned up like we hadn’t even been there. A couple of complications onsite with concrete from old foundations, not to worry we always have the pe**er in the van ready for the digger 😉👍🏼

Another lovely little dig out job, reduced ground down for slab and ring Beam. One man hole dug out and removed out of the beam and reinstated ready for the lads Vxcel Piling Ltd. To take back the site when we have cleared up and handed back thanks for the work lads much appreciated.

This was a very enjoyable job to do, the garden was an uneven slope, Dug down to level the area and a small retaining wall put in to hold back the ground. The retaining wall was then faced with small gabion baskets with decorative stone. Then the large remaining area was covered with artifical grass to turn what was a unusable area into quite a nice open space. And a small slab covered in resin stone was installed ready for a summer house to make the garden usable all year round

Reduced slab level and 13.5Lm of trenches excavated all before 13:00pm, which meant we even had time to help the piling contractor lift there machine in and out. .
