I have just completed a repair on a mountfield S460. The mower would not start.
It had an intermittent spark and contaminated fuel.
Firstly the coil was regapped correctly.
Then the fuel tank was drained and flushed and topped with fresh fuel.
The carburettor was cleaned and new base gasket and diaphragm fitted. 2 new governor springs were also replaced.

She now starts and runs as intended. All ready for action, when the rain eventually stops!

The mower will be returned to the customer this morning.
