Commercial Gas Engineer
Bristol
Salary: £42,000
Benefits: 20 days annual holiday plus bank holidays and Annual Performance Bonus
Help for Heating is a well-established domestic and commercial gas, oil and plumbing business, based in Bristol.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated domestic and commercial gas engineer, to carry out a broad range of planned and reactive tasks in Bristol and the surrounding areas. We would like the ideal candidate to further develop the commercial aspect of our business, potentially leading to shares within the business.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
• Carry out gas engineering & plumbing duties including reactive repairs, servicing of boilers, fires and other appliances and installations within domestic and commercial properties.
• Carry out the installation of new domestic and commercial heating systems in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, industry best practice codes and practice and legislation.
• Issue notices and certificates required by the relevant regulations relating to gas safety.
• Attend appointments as scheduled and instructed on our CRM app.
• To adhere to manufacturer’s instructions when servicing, repairing or installing appliances.
• To keep up to date with all relevant training and certifications as required by regulations.
• To maintain regular communication with colleagues to obtain instructions and resolve working problems.
• Complete job sheets and reports of completed works on our CRM app.
• To uphold company standards at all times.
• Work flexible working hours to suit business requirements, to include out of hours call out rota, attend emergency mechanical repair works as required
• Offer excellent customer service on every job.
• Any other tasks required by company within skill set / experience
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
Must Hold:
• Minimum of 6 months ACS qualifications. CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1
• Full driving licence (maximum 6 points)
Desirable Qualifications:
• Oil: OFT10-101, OFT10-105E, OFT10-600a
• Natural gas to LPG change over
• Unvented Hot Water
• Electrical: Part P
Skills and Experience
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding on gas boilers, fires and central heating and hot water systems.
• Ability to describe and confidently perform gas boiler and fire servicing
• Good knowledge of gas regulations and industry standards
• Be able to work on your own initiative
• Be able to solve problems, i.e. the ability to refer to industry approved documents/information
• Managing customer expectations and delivering excellent customer service.
