Are you being completely selfish when planning your wedding ceremony? || ✨

Listen, please DO NOT omit something in your wedding ceremony because you think that some of your guests won't get it. It seriously hurts my heart when nearly weds take something out of their ceremony script because they feel like it won't be understood and it's easier to just scrap it completely.

DO NOT TAKE IT OUT!!!!!!✨

Not everyone will understand or relate to everything that you have on your wedding day, that's the point. If you relate to it and it means something to you then please make space for it. Whether that's a spiritual moment, prayer, pagan ritual, shot of sourz, if it's part of your journey together then it deserves to be included in your wedding ceremony. It doesn't matter if your wedding guests don't understand that particular moment but they will understand why you've included it, because it's you!

I still blows my mind that nearly weds don't always prioritise themselves enough when planning their wedding ceremony. I will 1000% be that enabler, and encourage you at every point to consider what's best for you, what feels right and how we can make your love story sing!

Repeat - your wedding, you way! No community projects, no group collaborations. Just humans in love celebrating their story in the most authentic way possible.

Two fingers up to the wedding rulebook || 👋 📕

I'm not sure where these wedding rules come from and frankly I'm not bothered. Wherever they originate from (and I'm sure it's some archaic, misogyny filled book), they really don't have a place or limited application in modern weddings.

Including a wedding tradition for tradition sake is just not enough! Where is the meaning? Where does it fit into your love story? Where does it resonate with your day? If the answer is you don't know, then I challenge you to reconsider including it.

Who said you have to exchange vows? Who decided that you had to be given away by your father? Who decided that formal vows were the only way to express you commitment on your wedding day?

I encourage all nearly weds planning their dream wedding day to always consider if what they are including has meaning. Traditions can be reimagined or you can make your own wedding traditions.

You are planning your wedding day for you and you alone. Throw that wedding rule book out of the window and keep your light shining on your wedding day!

Since when did everyone else get a say in your wedding day?

Stop! Don't let your wedding turn into a community event or group project - remember the day is yours, and yours alone. You didn't sign up for a 15-person committee to decide whether to have a ring bearer or not.

When did we stop listening to ourselves on our most important day? It's time to take that power back! Your wedding should narrate the story of your love, not fulfill someone else’s fantasies.

When did it become okay for everyone else to have a say in YOUR wedding? This day is meant to celebrate your love, not to appease every opinion floated your way. Speak up, claim your vision, and make sure your day is authentically!

If you are looking to include some super unique ideas in your wedding ceremony, this is definitely one to consider.

I'm so flippin' tired of trying to live up to content trends, what I should and shouldn't be posting and essentially fitting in.

Well, enough is enough! 👋
