We’re having a fantastic time at the NEC Sewing for Pleasure show! It’s been wonderful meeting so many lovely people and sharing time stitching together in our workshops and at the Make & Take table.

So many beautiful embroidered cards have been created, and we’ve loved chatting with visitors from all over the country — and even from France!

Over the past 6 weeks I have had the pleasure of teaching mindful stitching to group The Rothsay Education Centre on a Monday afternoon. We have used seasonal inspiration to create fabric books filled with applique and slow stitching.

Things I have learnt from the ladies of Bedford:

1. Creativity grows in community. Stitching together shows how ideas spark and evolve when people share techniques, stories, and encouragement.

2. Slow making creates space to breathe. Sitting with needle and thread alongside others is a reminder that taking time to make something by hand can be calming, grounding, and restorative.

3. Everyone brings something unique. Each person’s colours, stitches, and approaches reflect their own personality, and seeing that variety is inspiring and affirming.

Most importantly- stitching together is FUN!

Sip & Stitch is back! I have been amazingly organised behind the scenes but failed miserably with my marketing. Again.

Sip & Stitch is the second Weds of the month (swipe to see the actual dates) and takes place at the fabulous in Hitchin.

We have a fab line up of projects from Feb - Dec all of which are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced stitchers.

2 hours of tuition, all the materials/tools provided and a lovely bunch of crafty peeps to chat with. A wonderful mid week pick me up!

I have just finished putting together the last page of my Autumn Stitch Journal 🍂

This has been a 10 week project taught at with a fabulous group of stitchers.

We will be continuing to slow stitch the seasons in January and there are a couple of spaces still available. It's such a lovely way to pause, reflect, learn something new and meet other crafters.

It’s the last week of workshops for the year!

If you’ve been craving a cosy creative pause before the festive whirlwind kicks in, this is your sign. Crafting at this time of year is such a balm — a chance to slow down, chat, make something beautiful, and walk away with a decoration you’ll treasure for years.

This week I’m running three sessions:
🌲 Sip & Stitch – Wed 10th Dec, 7–9pm

Make miniature table-top Christmas trees from fabric scraps + vintage cotton reels.

⭐ Traditional Straw Star Decorations – Sat 13th Dec, 10.30am –12.30pm .popup

✨ Metal Embossed Decorations – Sat 13th Dec, 1.30–3.30 .popup

All sessions include materials, are suitable for every ability, and are £25 each.
