We’ll be joined by Mick Harrison from Devon & Cornwall Police, who’ll share practical advice on understanding online threats and protecting your business from cybercriminals.

Also joining us is Caroline Dicks from NFU Mutual, who’ll explain cyber insurance and how the right cover can help protect your business from the financial impact of a cyberattack.

We were delighted to welcome Thea Watts, South West Regional Manager for Cash Access UK, to our meeting this morning.

Thea gave network members a valuable insight into how Honiton’s new Banking Hub will be structured, the services it will provide and the work already under way ahead of its planned opening in February 2027.

The hub will feature an ATM and offer Monday-to-Friday counter services for customers of all major banks. Individuals, businesses and charities will be able to deposit and withdraw cash.

Customers will also be able to meet community bankers for help with more complex matters. Representatives from Santander, Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC and NatWest will attend on different days as part of an agreed weekly rota.

Cash Access UK is searching for an accessible, centrally located, ground-floor premises of approximately 1,000 sq ft. A temporary location is also being explored to ensure Honiton is not left without local banking services when Lloyds Bank closes.

We were also pleased to welcome Richard Foord MP, who joined us for the meeting.

It was fantastic to see 67 people at this morning’s meeting - a new Honiton Business Network record, beating our previous best of 53 in January!
