Thinking About Building a Gaming PC? 🎮

We recently helped a client design and build a high-performance gaming PC, carefully balancing the CPU and GPU to maximise performance and value for money.

From component selection and cable management to BIOS configuration, driver installation and stress testing, every detail was checked to ensure the system was running at its absolute best.

One question we get asked a lot is:
AIO Cooling vs Traditional Air Cooling : which one is better?

AIO (All-In-One) liquid cooling:
✔ Excellent cooling performance
✔ Cleaner appearance
✔ Often quieter under heavy loads
✔ Great for high-performance gaming PCs

Air cooling:
✔ Lower cost
✔ Simple and reliable
✔ Easier maintenance
✔ Excellent performance with modern coolers

The right choice depends on your budget, case size, noise preferences, and performance requirements.

For many gamers, the best PC isn’t necessarily the most expensive, but it’s the one that has been designed properly for the games they play.

Whether you are looking to build your first gaming PC, upgrade an existing system, or simply want advice on the best components for your budget, let us help you!

5 Signs it’s time to replace your laptop! 💻

We all try to squeeze a little more life out of our laptops, but sometimes it’s costing more in frustration and lost productivity than it’s worth.

Here are 5 signs it might be time for an upgrade:

1. The battery doesn’t last:

If you are constantly searching for a charger, your battery may be nearing the end of its life.

2. Everything feels slow:

Long startup times, applications freezing, and endless loading screens can be a sign your hardware is struggling to keep up.

3. It can’t run the latest software:

If you’re unable to install updates or new applications, your device may no longer meet current requirements.

4. It gets hot or noisy:

Overheating and constantly running fans often indicate your laptop is working harder than it should.

5. It doesn’t support modern security features:

Older devices may not support the latest operating systems or security technologies, putting your data at greater risk.
A newer device isn’t just faster but it’s often more secure, more reliable, and more efficient.

Not sure whether to repair, upgrade, or replace?

Fake Virus Alerts: what NOT to do!

You are browsing online…suddenly your screen flashes red, alarms start sounding, and a message says:

⚠️ “YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED!” ⚠️

Don’t panic. Many of these are fake scare tactics designed to make you click, call, or hand over access to scammers.

What NOT To Do:

• Don’t call the phone number on the screen
• Don’t click suspicious popups or links
• Don’t download “security tools” from the alert
• Don’t give remote access to strangers
• Don’t enter passwords or payment details

What you SHOULD do:
✅ Close the browser window
✅ Restart your device if needed
✅ Run a proper antivirus/security scan
✅ Contact someone you trust if unsure

Real antivirus software usually won’t:

❌ Flash full-screen warnings in your browser
❌ Ask you to urgently call a number
❌ Demand payment immediately

At SISTEMZ, we help businesses and home users stay protected from scams, phishing, fake alerts and online threats. Let us help you to shut down scammers for good.

Your devices can overheat and it’s more dangerous than you think!

Most modern smartphones, tablets, and laptops have built-in temperature protection to help prevent serious overheating.

However, that doesn’t mean they are immune to damage or fire risk.

One of the biggest mistakes people still make is:

‼️Leaving devices charging on beds, sofas, cushions, or under blankets.

Soft surfaces trap heat and block ventilation, especially during overnight charging.

Here are some simple ways to reduce the risk:
✔ Charge devices on hard, flat surfaces
✔ Avoid covering phones or laptops while charging
✔ Don’t leave overheating devices unattended
✔ Use genuine or trusted chargers
✔ Keep devices out of direct sunlight
✔ Replace damaged charging cables immediately

🚨 Warning signs of overheating:
• Device feels unusually hot
• Battery drains quickly
• Screen dims or performance slows
• Device shuts down unexpectedly

A little care goes a long way in protecting both your devices and your home.

At SiSTEMZ, we help our clients keep their technology safe, secure, and running properly.

‼️ PART 2: Multifactor Authentication

You have turned on 2FA?

Great start.

But what happens if you lose your phone, change your number, or forget to save your backup codes?

In Part 2, we cover the practical steps that help ensure your extra layer of security doesn’t become an extra headache.

Because staying secure is important, but so is being able to get back into your own accounts!

6. Don’t store everything together

Keeping your password and your login code in the same app isn’t ideal.

✅ Keep them separate where possible
✅ Or have a backup method elsewhere

7. Watch out for “Approval Spam”

If your phone suddenly gets lots of login approval requests…

🚨 Someone may already have your password

✅ Don’t approve anything
✅ Change your password immediately

8. Have a backup plan

Apps fail. Phones break. Accounts get locked.

✅ Use a password manager
✅ Keep a simple backup (even written securely at home)

9. Check your settings occasionally

Old phone numbers and emails can cause problems later.

✅ Review your recovery settings once or twice a year

2FA is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself online, but only if it’s set up properly.

A few small steps now can save a lot of stress later.

Contacts us and we will ensure your 2FA works for you!

Multifactor Authentication: what you actually need to know ‼️ PART 1

Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) is one of the best things you can do to protect your accounts.

But if it’s set up the wrong way, it can either lock you out of your accounts or give attackers a way around it!

Here is what you really need to know:

1. Use a personal email for recovery
Don’t use a work email as your backup. If you leave your job, you could@lose access to your personal accounts too.

✅ Always use an email you control long-term
✅ Make sure THAT email is secure as well

2. Don’t rely on one method only
Authenticator apps are great, but phones get lost, broken or replaced.

✅ Save your backup codes
✅ Print them or store them somewhere safe. Think of them like a spare key!

3. Be careful using SMS codes
Text messages codes are useful, but not perfect.

✅ Add a pin to your mobile account if possible

4. Secure your recovery email
Your recovery email@is the key to everything. If someone gets into that, they can rest your other accounts.

✅ Use a strong password
✅ Turn on 2FA for that email too

5. Use proper passwords
“Clever” passwords like P@ssw0rd aren’t secure anymore

✅ Use long, random passwords
✅ Let a password manager create them

Need help setting this up? At SiSTEMZ we can help you secure devices and accounts, simply and safely.
