It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Davie Simpson (Pictured, second left).

Everyone who knew Davie will remember him laughing, joking and knowing where all the best takeaways were! But mostly he will be remembered as one of the most genuine, humble and down-to-earth guys they have ever met.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to his wife Lorraine, all his family and all his loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

Davie was a highly valued HGV driver at WRC Recycling for the past five years and during this time became an integral part of the WRC family. He genuinely loved his work, and his work ethic and dedication will have a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.

There was no job too big or too difficult for Davie to attempt (even if he couldn’t always find them!)

He will be sorely missed by the entire team here at WRC. A true legend❤️

This morning the WRC team hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support☕️❤️

It was a great opportunity to come together over coffee and cake while raising money for a charity that provides vital support to people affected by cancer.

The team at WRC was absolutely delighted to support DIY SOS by providing our waste collection services for their latest life-changing project in Glasgow🏡👏

This particular build was all about supporting a remarkable family facing extraordinary challenges, and encouraged tradespeople, suppliers, and volunteers from across the country to come together with one shared goal!

We’re proud to have played a small role in helping such a meaningful project come to life. A massive well done to the entire DIY SOS team and every single person who contributed their time, skills, or materials. The final result was a testament to what can be achieved through hard work, generosity, and collective effort❤️
