Hi guys, here at New Day Training one of our main focus areas is working with schools to provide expert safety advice and support. We currently work with around 80 schools across the North East and have recently been getting lots of panicked requests regarding the product recalls on certain children's toys containing sand, with the suspicion that some may have been contaminated with slight traces of asbestos. We thought that it would be a good idea to share a little info sheet for people to refer to if you are in any doubt. Firstly, stay calm, check each product that you have against the list of recalled products and follow the advice and instructions provided if you do own a recalled product. Please keep in mind that this is being done as a PRECAUTION, not as a definitive that there is asbestos in the product. Sometimes the way that situations like this are portrayed in the media is very emotive and can lead to knee jerk reactions, please take your time, get all of the information needed and follow advice given.
