Our cracker of a Fastrac 8330 is away to find a new home tomorrow, that completes our transition to purely harvesting works.

Whilst I did enjoy working with smaller plant and tractors, they just don’t compare to heavy duty logging machinery so whilst its sad to see such a clean tractor go my heart is in the big big kit.

The fleet is now trimmed to 3 harvesters, 2 forwarders and two forestry diggers to 25tons, with another harvester pending.

The current set up allows us to cut 2-3 sites at the same time giving better access to markets UK wide 🌲🚜

Some special logs going out this week, these big Douglas firs are not suitable for the mills because they are too big and too bent, sometimes fir grows lovely and straight but these have not!

So they are going to specialist markets across the UK with loads going out to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Durham today!

Cut at 2m and 2.5m they will be commissioned into hopefully some amazing sculptures! 🌲🚜

Working away clearing up some terrible storm damage, generally we just have timber blown in one direction but this site had been hit by at least 3 storms from different directions making a real mess!!

🌳🌳 Lorry loads of Hardwood for sale - Elgin🌳🌳

Hi everyone, in about 2-3 weeks we will have 40 + Artic loads of Hardwood available.

These are sold in 3 metre lengths.

A lorry carries 3 “bunks” of 3 metre lengths.

These loads are not sold by weight, they are sold as 3 full “bunks” The weight of wood on a loaded timber lorry for general reference would be around 24-25tons.

The wood is generally straight and varies from 90mm to 350mm with an average diameter of 180 mm

It is fresh cut.

We cannot cater for any diameter, SPECIES or moisture requests because the lorries lift from huge mixed piles at all times of the day & night when we are not on site.

The cost per load is £1500+vat
Vat is 5% on invoices issued to non businesses and 20% for businesses/farms etc.

Delivery is available within 40 miles of Elgin at £350+vat and from 40 miles to 70 miles of Elgin at £450+vat further than that contact me.

There are many buyers who have pre booked loads with me, I do have some lists but please everyone use whatsapp and just rebook your loads with me via 07787965081

New buyers looking to order please only contact me when you are ready to book & pay straight away, the process of buying a load is as follows:

Contact me with your name, email and delivery address, I will then issue an invoice via email, you pay it, then I will confirm the order with our haulier which is C & K Marr. Delivery is generally within 7 days of you payment.

You must have space for an articulated lorry and an area with no overhead cables to off load, lorries are self sufficient with their own cranes.

You can buy with complete confidence as we have been supplying firewood in this area for 5 years or so and have sent out tens of thousands of tons.

Busy in the hills, the Tigercat 855 is ripping through the windblow, showing its power and versatility pulling trees out complete with root plates and swing around to the rear for easy processing. 🌲🚜
