☀️ A First for MB Solar – Our First AlphaESS Installation in Bewdley! 🔋

We’re pleased to share our first AlphaESS solar and battery installation, completed for a customer in Bewdley.

What makes this project particularly interesting is that it’s been designed with the homeowner’s future plans in mind from day one.

The customer has started by adding solar panels to the extension, but this is only the first stage. Further panels are planned for an in-roof solar installation on the main house, and we’ve future-proofed the system ready for this expansion.

We’ve also prepared the installation so that home backup can be added at a later date, giving the homeowner the option of keeping essential circuits powered during a power cut.

And while we were there, we helped put the electrical infrastructure in place ready for the customer’s future garden shed – saving additional work when it’s installed.

☀️ Another in-roof solar installation taking shape!

Here’s a look at one of our latest projects at MB Solar, with the in-roof solar panels installed and ready for the next stages of the build.

Unlike traditional on-roof systems, in-roof solar replaces part of the roof covering, allowing the panels to sit flush with the roofline for a smart, streamlined finish.

☀️ Another Solar Installation Completed in Kidderminster! ☀️

Yesterday the MB Solar team completed this installation in Spennells, Kidderminster, with 10 x DMEGC 465W solar panels, providing a total of 4.65kWp of solar PV. ⚡🏡

This installation was a little different...

The customer recently relocated to Kidderminster and brought their existing battery and inverter with them from their previous property. Rather than replacing perfectly good equipment, we were able to reinstall their existing system and integrate it with their brand-new solar array at their new home. 🔋☀️

A great example of making the most of existing equipment while upgrading the property with new solar generation.

🐦 And there’s another detail in these photos that we think is worth talking about — bird protection.

It's fantastic to see so many new solar installations going up locally. It's great for our industry and even better to see more homeowners investing in renewable energy.

However, we're noticing that bird protection is still being offered as an optional extra on a number of installations.

At MB Solar, we cannot stress enough how important bird protection is, which is why we include it as part of our installations.

The sheltered space beneath solar panels can provide an ideal nesting area for pigeons and other birds. Once they're underneath, it can lead to nesting material, fouling, noise and blocked gutters, and having protection retrofitted afterwards means another visit to the roof and an additional expense.

If you look closely at this installation, you'll see the black mesh fitted neatly around the perimeter of the panels, helping prevent birds from gaining access underneath without drilling into or damaging the modules.

For us, it's one of those details that forms part of doing the installation properly from day one. 👌

☀️ Another MB Solar installation completed in Highley! 🔋

A great-looking solar & battery storage system featuring:

☀️ 10 x DMEGC 465W solar panels – providing a 4.65kWp solar array
⚡ Fox ESS inverter
🔋 Fox ESS EP6 battery

For this installation, the customer was happy to go with the smaller battery capacity, giving them a system that's well suited to their individual energy requirements.

🌳 You may notice some shading across the panels in the photos. This was discussed with the customer prior to installation, and the nearby tree is due to be removed. Once removed, this will prevent the shading and allow the panels to make the most of the available sunlight.

A brilliant way to kick off the first home game of the season — a 1–0 win and three points on the board! 🙌

This season, MB Solar are proud to continue our partnership with the Harriers as Away Kit Sponsors, as well as getting behind the club as Match Ball Sponsor for the opening home fixture.

It’s fantastic seeing the MB Solar name around Aggborough and on the away kit, but even better being able to support a local club that means so much to the community. The boys absolutely loved being there for the first home game, meeting the players and soaking up the atmosphere.

☀️ We’ve been a little quiet… but for a very good reason! ☀️

Apologies for the radio silence lately — the sunshine has certainly got people thinking about how they can make the most of free electricity from their own roof, and the MB Solar team has been busy making it happen! 🔋☀️⚡
