You’re generating leads, but they’re not turning into anything meaningful....

On paper, things look positive, leads are coming in, people are engaging.
But when it comes to actual progress?
It’s inconsistent at best.

You might recognise this:
• leads that go quiet after the first interaction
• follow-ups that never quite happen
• opportunities that don’t move forward

And over time, it creates doubt:
Are these even the right leads? Or are we just not handling them properly?
In reality, it’s often not one or the other.

It’s usually:
• timing
• follow-up
• structure
• consistency

Small gaps that make a big difference and because none of it feels like a 'big problem' it doesn’t get fixed properly.
But it does impact results.

If you’ve been questioning this recently, it’s worth taking a step back and looking at the full picture.

Take 2 minutes to help you figure that out, here: https://b2bgrowthcheck.scoreapp.com

After working with B2B businesses for a number of years as well as building our own, one thing has become clear - business growth doesn’t usually feel difficult because of one big issue, it’s more often a combination of smaller things that aren’t quite working together.

That’s why we tend to look at growth in three areas:

➡️ Foundation - getting the basics right
➡️ Momentum - building consistent activity
➡️ Optimisation - improving how things perform over time

When one of these is slightly off, things can start to feel harder than they should, when they work together, everything becomes more structure and progress feels more manageable.

The challenge is knowing where to focus first.
That’s exactly what our B2B Growth Check is designed to help with.

You can take the short assessment here:

It only takes a couple of minutes to complete # but will provide tailored advice that you can implement right away.

In many of the B2B businesses we work with, it’s not a lack of effort that holds growth back. It’s often a lack of clarity, consistency and structure behind it.

Ideas, effort and activity are all there, but results aren’t as consistent as they could be. Not because anything is fundamentally wrong, but because there isn’t always a clear structure behind it.

It’s something we see quite a lot when working with clients and something we’ve had to figure out ourselves building our own businesses.

So we’ve created a short B2B Growth Check to help you sense-check where things might be breaking down in your business.

It only takes a couple of minutes and it’s often quite revealing https://b2bgrowthcheck.scoreapp.com

For businesses approaching their financial year end, the final few weeks are rarely just about the numbers.

Its worth giving some thought to:-

1️⃣ Looking honestly at the pipeline
Which opportunities could realistically close before year end?
Where are deals stalled?

2️⃣ Focusing effort where it matters
Not everything deserves attention right now.
Which conversations could genuinely move things forward?

3️⃣ Starting to look ahead
Where did growth actually come from this year?
Where did momentum slow down?

Handled well, the final few weeks of the year can bring clarity to the pipeline and focus for the year ahead.

If your calendar doesn’t match your vision, your vision won’t happen

At the B2B Growth Expo recently, a talk from Michael Kurn made me think.
It was about how important it is to get clear on your vision and values, in business, in your role, or personally and to make sure the way you spend your time aligns with that.

He made a great point:
“If your calendar doesn’t match your vision, your vision won’t happen.”

Whether you’re leading a business, managing sales or marketing activity or working towards your own personal vision and goals, it’s worth asking yourself:

➡️ What am I actually trying to achieve this year?
➡️ What activities will genuinely move that forward?
➡️ And does my calendar reflect that priority?

Sometimes progress isn’t about doing more.
It’s about being clearer, more focused and more intentional with your time and energy.

Quick ChatGPT tip

Following on from our post about using ChatGPT more securely, another great tip from the B2B Growth Expo was about improving the quality of what you get back.

In Settings → Personalisation → Custom Instructions, you can tell it things like:

➡️ Be concise
➡️ Challenge my thinking
➡️ Keep a professional but friendly tone
➡️ Ask questions before answering

For example:
"Give me clear, simple answers that get straight to the point. It's fine to challenge my ideas and suggest better or more creative ways of doing things if you think there's a smarter option. Keep your tone professional but friendly, like you're talking to a colleague. Before giving an answer, ask me a few quick questions to make sure you've understood what I actually need."

A small tweak but it makes responses far more useful.

Its also great to ask it to 'improve x 10' when you get a response and see the difference it makes.
