My journey with numbers began at a young age with a keen interest in mathematics that lasted throughout school. Upon leaving school, I pursued my ambition of becoming an accountant by completing a degree in Accounting and Finance at university. However after a 6 week internship at a large accountancy firm, I failed to see myself doing the job long term. Unexpectedly, I found myself drawn into the
world of procurement, where over a 14 year period I managed contracts worth tens of millions of pounds within a large, multi-billion-pound corporation. During this time I expanded upon my financial management skills. For the past seven years, I have been successfully building a thriving Children's Activity Business. Using my passion for numbers and spreadsheets, I have successfully transformed my business from a hobby on the side into a Full Time Children's Activity Business. But my journey did not end there. Fuelled by a desire to helps others in the industry, I founded Profitable Play - a venture dedicated to guiding fellow Children's Activity Business owners on their journey to unlocking financial success. One of the drivers for me leaving the corporate world was so that I could spend more time with my partner and my two amazing children, alongside two lively labradors. We can often be found exploring the outdoors and making memories as a family.
