Established back in 1910 Ashlea Limited is one of the country’s largest privately owned commercial landscaping company specialising in all aspects of soft landscaping, Arboriculture Works and Grounds Maintenance. The company has grown steadily and diversified over the years through the support of a dedicated and enthusiastic team of management and staff who constantly strive to achieve the highest level of quality work, to schedule and at highly competitive prices producing a sound financial standing. From our Head Office in Carnforth, Lancashire, we operate throughout the United Kingdom and have offices at Glasgow in Scotland, Hemsworth in Yorkshire and depots at Haydock in Merseyside and Southam in the Midlands. Congratulations to our Northwest Grounds maintenance teams on being awarded a contract extension for the grounds maintenance of The Church of Jesus of Latter - Day Saints Northwest.

The contracts award is a results of the past two years performance, maintaining the grounds of 56 properties from Carlisle to Telford.

Ashlea Ltd Northwest are proud to have been awarded the major new public park at Liverpool Hospital by our long term client Bam Uk.

The creation of the major new public park in the heart of Liverpool, marking the latest milestone in the development of the site of the former Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

Located on a section of the site of the former Royal Liverpool University Hospital, the development will transform the space into a vibrant public park, featuring more than 160 trees, extensive native planting, wildlife-friendly habitats, walking and cycling routes, and areas designed for relaxation, reflection and recreation.

We look forward to starting on site later this year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ashlea Ltd for a Trainee/Assistant Estimator.

This is in person at our offices in Carnforth, Lancashire.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, working on exciting projects within the landscaping industry and progress within a supportive business.
Full training and mentoring will be provided.

The role of a Trainee/Assistant Estimator would be to work alongside our experienced estimating team to obtain understanding and knowledge of how estimates are prepared, documentation that forms a tender enquiry, how project costs are built through to final tender submission.

There will be opportunity to develop and progress within the business and become an integral part of the estimating team.


Personal Attributes:
- Good analytical and mathematical ability
- IT proficient
- Good communicator
- Organised with excellent attention to detail skills
- Time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Willingness to learn and an enthusiasm to develop and progress

The role will require you to:
- Gain a full understanding of the tender process and tender documentation.
- Understand project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and materials required.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review and evaluate proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain records of all estimate related documentation.

Pigeon Triangle - Manchester.

Today we took delivery of a large selection of heavy standard trees previously used at the Chelsea Flower show 2025.

Pigeon Triangle, the 7,200 sq ft public space aims to create a more attractive gateway to the emerging mixed-use neighbourhood surrounding Mayfield Park, Manchester.

The garden has been designed by architect Studio Egret West and uses ideas and materials from the Avanade Intelligent Garden, which was designed by Tom Massey and won a Gold Medal at the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The 19-tree garden will provide “an inclusive and sustainable urban greenspace that provides visitors with opportunities for rest, social interaction and contact with nature in a very urban setting.

We look forward to completing the project over the coming days.
