🖤 TODAY WE MOURN THE LOSS
OF A FRIEND TO LANCASTER 🖤

To most, the name Stefano Amadio, Producer and Director of CinemaItaliano, means little. But it was Stefano (R) and Bruno's (L) passion for the film industry that brought to Lancaster international film stars Alessio Vassallo, Katia Greco, Rosa Palasciano, and the worlds most respected Red Carpet portrait photographer, Adolfo Franzo.

Together, the childhood friends from Rome, created the 'Lancaster International Film Festival'.

Yesterday, after a long battle with cancer, Stefano passed away.

We offer our heart-felt condolences to Stefano's family and friends, and we thank this quiet, gentle man for what he gave to Lancaster.

🌹 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON 🌹

With less than 4 hours to go until the doors open, we want to say a massive 'Thank You' to those who are dressing the Ashton Hall for tonight's Awards Ceremony Gala Night celebration.

Last year, there was a real wow factor from the minute the guests walked in.

The theme last year was Hollywood, and we were honoured to have the world's most respected portrait photographer, Adolfo Franzo, who brought over a portfolio of over 90 images of stars from sport, music and of course the big screen.

The entrance was decked out with a lush red carpet, a selection of Franzo's work, and a fitting clothing display from Joseph Clothing.

This year, as the theme is Woman, Renes Fashion will blow you away with a scene befitting of such an occasion.

The Ashton Hall itself, is one of the finest civic venues in the North West, and the stunning floral displays created by Alison & Tara, of Lune Valley Home & Garden, really was the icing in the cake. Hollywood would not have been more majestic.

For a second year, they have kindly agreed to be our Official Partner 🙏

Every Guest will receive a miniature bottle of 'Aqua Di Bolgheri' perfume, courtesy of Rosie Prest (Foxholes Country Pursuits). These fragrances are beautiful and typically Italian. There are four different ones, 2 each for men & women.

We also wish to thank Lancaster City Council for their assistance and support, in particular Tara Stapleton and her team.

🌹 ONE VERY SPECIAL MOMENT 🌹

This was the moment that Katie Hatt (L), Winner of the 'Panel Prize', presented by headline sponsor Samantha Del Vigna (R), learned that the Trophy was not all that she had won, at LIFF23.

Katie was given star treatment at the 'Venice International Film Festival' - flights, accommodation, and a full access Press Pass (courtesy of Cinemaitaliano & Totally Local Lancaster). Quite something, and totally deserved.

At the LIFF23 Award Ceremony, Katie met and struck up a great friendship with the incredibly talented, star of dance, stage and television, LIFF Ambassador, Lisa O'Hare.

Despite their pressing schedules, they made time at the start of 2024 to run with an idea, and that's all it was, a loose idea. No plan. No budget. Just a phone camera, a computer, a few locations and some friends & family.

This partnership created the incredible short film, 'Movement', which had its premiere at LIFF, last year..

Katie was one of the Guests at this year Launch. She spoke candidly about the impact winning the Award has had on her personally and professionally. She is an exceptionally talented filmmaker, open to embracing opportunities, challenging herself to go in new directions, with the confidence that will undoubtedly lead to many Awards in the years to come.
