When Sarah left Bolton Uni, one of the first jobs she had was working for Deep Red Games in Milton Keynes. Beach Life (or Spring Break as it was titled in the US) was one of the first full PC games that she worked upon whilst there.

Her job was to provide full concept art for the game (some of which can be seen in the character frames at the bottom) and I worked on the QA. It was fun, hilarious and definitely had one of the best soundtracks in a game.

I recently had an opportunity to collaborate with someone I used to work with in the games industry.

I can’t really go into too much detail but I can share a few paintings that we used in the process. The target material is textiles, so the paintings needed to be able to be printed on various items that wouldn’t take too much detail.

In 2022, we were approached by the online learning course BBC Maestro to help create epub versions of their courses. BBC Maestro is a subscription-based, streaming platform in which people can watch learning videos from some of the best professionals in their business, with detailed course notes that can be viewed upon any digital platform.
