The Role
• Develop high quality software, leading all phases of the software design life-cycle
• Develop new applications from scratch as well as maintaining an existing code base
• Creating software solutions that are simple, scalable, maintainable and easy to change
• Working as part of a small team and taking responsibility for more junior members of the development team

Requirements
• Enthusiastic problem solver with a real passion for software development
• A strong knowledge of Java
• Good knowledge and understanding of common design patterns and OO principles
• Ability to understand how websites work and reverse engineer communications protocols
• Knowledge of database architecture and design

Desirable Coding Skills
• Knowledge of Enterprise Messaging Systems and associated design patterns
• Understanding of MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologies
• Experience with Spring, Spring-integration, ActiveMQ
• Familiarity with Linux & Bash scripting
• Knowledge of networking infrastructure, e.g. TCP/IP, SSH, HTTP

• RDBMS (MySQL preferred)
• Knowledge of other programming languages, e.g. Python, C++, or PHP

The system comprises of mobile phone/ tablet client software (all major platforms) as well as scalable server side architecture (C # / MVC / ASP.Net/ SQL Server) and is developed and maintained entirely in-house and we are looking to grow this development team further.

An employment opportunity has arisen for an ASP.Net developer to focus primarily on projects relating to our Web Application interface using SQL Server 2008 as back-end.

To apply for this post, you will need to have considerable experience in .Net web application development using Microsoft Framework 4 and above and have a good understanding of application design and be proficient in the use of MVC as well as ASP.NET using C #.
