Great to have the team together today for our Summer Conference at Stanbrook Abbey Hotel in Worcester.

With colleagues coming from all parts of the UK, we picked somewhere roughly in the middle and got everyone together for a great day of updates, ideas and planning for what comes next.

A big thank you to Ollie from Defence.com and James from for joining us and presenting to the team.

We also spent time going through where we are financially, operationally and strategically, what we've achieved so far this year and, more importantly, where we're heading next.

£1500 in cash prizes given away throughout the day too!

It's easy when you've got teams spread across the country to spend your life on Teams calls, so getting everyone in the same room is always worthwhile.

Now for the equally important part of the conference...

Dinner and drinks. 🍻

And if previous company events are anything to go by, we all know how that ends up... 😂

GCSE results day… 🎓

Today, thousands of young people will open that envelope and find out their GCSE results.

Some will be absolutely buzzing. Others will inevitably be disappointed.

Whatever that piece of paper says, please remember it doesn't define you or your future.

There isn't one route through life.

Sometimes the path you eventually take looks nothing like the one you imagined when you were 16 and that's absolutely fine.

There's a quote often attributed to Winston Churchill that I've always liked:

“My education was interrupted only by my schooling.”

Education doesn't stop when you leave school. You'll learn from jobs, apprenticeships, businesses, mistakes, successes and, most importantly, from life itself.

I've learnt more in the last 3 years than I ever did in school.

If you get the results you wanted - massive congratulations. 👏

If you don't - don't panic.

There's always another route. Keep learning, keep growing, keep pushing forward and never give up.

Good luck everyone! 🤞

We’re going to fight to save this building from demolition. 💪

Out with Cllr Ryan Taylor - Morley South today, inspecting Lewisham Youth Centre and starting to build a plan for how we can save it and bring it back into community use.

And I'm delighted to announce that Saving Lewisham Youth Centre CIC was officially formed last week. 🙌

That's an important step forward, but now the hard work really starts.

We want to take a building that has sat empty for years and turn it back into something our community and particularly our young people can be proud of.

And we're going to need some help.

If you're a builder, electrician, plumber, joiner, decorator or work in any other trade and would be willing to lend a hand, DIY SOS style, please get in touch.

Whether that's a day of your time, some materials, professional advice or simply helping us spread the word it could make a massive difference.

Your community needs you now more than ever.

We have an opportunity to take something that could otherwise be demolished and create something positive that lasts for generations.

Let's make our legacy a positive one for our kids. ❤️

Celebrating Kilimanjaro the only way I know how… popping the champagne! 🍾🥂⛰️

I'd not had a drink for nearly a year in preparation for the climb. Training, losing weight, getting fitter and doing everything possible to get myself onto that summit.

Then we finally made it to the top of Kilimanjaro, the first of my Seven Summits and there was only one thing left to do…

And only one person daft enough to join me..

Celebrate properly. 😂🍾

Safe to say, after nearly a year without a drink, the party hit HARD that night!

Two years on and still some of the best memories. The mountain was incredible, but the people, laughs and celebrations afterwards were every bit as memorable.

Here's to the adventures, the people you share them with and the memories that stay with you. ❤️🏔️

How was this summit TWO years ago?! ⛰️

Kilimanjaro. The summit that started the Seven Summits journey.

Then a visit to Children Of Kilimanjaro Orphanage

A lot can change in two years. Life changes, plans change and, sometimes, people you thought would be there for the whole journey aren't.

The start of an incredible journey and memories I'll carry forever. 🏔️❤️

Good news for Gildersome 👍

Glad to see the funding to resurface the path/ginnel from Town Street down to Finkle Lane, past The Grove, has now been processed and passed into Leeds City Council's Outer South Community Committee.

Gildersome Parish Council contacted us last month to see if we could help get the work done after they'd received quotes running into the thousands of pounds.

It's not the biggest project in the world, but it's one of those little things that makes a genuine difference to people using it every day.

Hopefully, once the work is complete, residents, families and anyone with a pushchair can actually make it through without feeling like they're fighting their way up the Grand Canyon! 😂

Another little job ticked off. ✅

A-Level results day today… and honestly, don’t sweat it.

Twenty years on, I genuinely couldn’t tell you what I got in my A-Levels.

In fact, probably more importantly, I’ve employed hundreds of people over the last decade and I have NEVER lookedd at someone’s A-Levels or GCSE results on their CV.

EVER

That doesn't mean qualifications don't matter. If you need certain grades to get onto the next stage of the path you've chosen, of course today matters.

But they are a stepping stone, not a definition of what you're capable of achieving in life.

Personally, I’d rather employ someone with an eagerness to get on, a willingness to learn, and the determination to work hard and grind out results.

Show me that attitude and I'll find you a job tomorrow.

And if today's grades mean the next stepping stone isn't where you expected it to be?

Jump a step. Find another route.

University isn't the only option either.

I recently sat down with Falguni Patel on Business Mutiny and asked a pretty simple question:

"Is university still worth it in 2026?"

Check it out here

So if you smashed your results today -congratulations.** 👏

If you didn't get what you wanted - don't panic.

One set of grades at 18 doesn't decide where you'll be at 28, 38 or 48.

There are a hundred different routes to where you want to go.

You just need to keep moving forward. 💪

Sometimes you just have to get out into the hills.

Suck in the fresh air.
Drink from the natural streams.
Get some elevation in your legs.
Leave the noise behind for a few hours.

There’s something about being in the mountains that resets everything. Problems seem a little smaller, your head feels a little clearer, and everything just feels a little better.

No complicated formula. Just fresh air, tired legs and a bit of perspective.

Always a little higher. ⛰️

What a fantastic weekend at the Eglwysbach Show! ☀️

It's always one of our favourite events of the year, and we're proud that Dyfed Telecom was once again trusted to provide the WiFi connectivity across the entire show for the second year running.

From exhibitors and traders to organisers and visitors, reliable connectivity has become an essential part of events like these, and it's great to play a small part in helping everything run smoothly.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We always enjoy catching up with customers, meeting new faces, and being part of such a brilliant community event.
Roll on next year! 🌐📶
