🏆 SIX YEARS RUNNING! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to announce that GJM School of Motoring has once again been awarded Wigan Council’s Certificate of Excellence – Good Trader Scheme for 2026! 💜🚗

What makes this even more special is that this is the 6th year running that we’ve received this recognition! 🎉

The award recognises our consistently high standards of customer feedback, and we couldn’t have achieved it without our fantastic team and, of course, all of our amazing customers and pupils who continue to support and recommend GJM.

Maintaining these standards year after year means a huge amount to us. We’ll continue doing what we do best — providing professional, friendly and reliable driver training and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.

💜 Six years running and still going strong!

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported GJM along the way.

Proud to help our community.

A huge congratulations and thank you to 17 Good Trader Scheme members who have signed up to become Neighbourhood Champions 🤩

By volunteering their time, these local traders are helping to make our communities stronger, safer, and more connected by checking in on vulnerable people and elderly residents across the borough.

Passionate about supporting people across our borough, the traders will help ensure that those who may need a friendly face, a listening ear, or a little extra help will know that someone is looking out for them.

The Neighbourhood Champions will also deliver valuable advice to vulnerable residents to be aware of rogue traders offering cheap work and repairs, and help to prevent doorstep crime in our communities.

Those pictured include Robert from Zest Plumbing, Lee from Upholland Rising Damp Experts Ltd , Emma from Expert Roofing, Scott from Viewpoint Roofing, Gregor from GJM School of Motoring, and Jeff from Jeff Case Electrical

We are very proud to see our traders going above and beyond for their communities and playing such an important role in supporting local residents - thank you to all our Neighbourhood Champions for making a real difference 👏

ARE YOU A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER? COME AND MEET THE LEIGH BUSINESS GROUP

Our next Leigh Business Group evening get-together is being hosted by Blossom Bistro by The Courtyard, supporting another fantastic local business right here in our community.

📍 Blossom Bistro by The Courtyard
9 Stone Cross Lane North, Lowton, WA3 2SA

📅 Wednesday 9th September
⏰ 6pm

Several current members of the Leigh Business Group will be there, enjoying a tapas dish and a drink, talking business, making introductions and getting to know other local business owners.

And we’d like to invite other local businesses to come along and see what we’re about.

Take a look through the businesses already represented in the group. If your trade or profession isn’t already covered, there could be a place for you.

The Leigh Business Group is exactly what the name says — local businesses working together to support local businesses.

We recommend each other.
We make introductions.
We pass opportunities and referrals.
We use each other’s services wherever possible.
And ultimately, we help each other’s businesses grow.

This isn’t about charging businesses huge membership fees just for the privilege of sitting in a room together.

The group was created by its members, for its members, with minimal cost and maximum benefit.

If you’d like to come along on the 9th and have the tapas and drink with us, contact us beforehand for the details.

If you simply want to pop in, meet everyone and find out what the Leigh Business Group is all about, come along and say hello.

You can also contact us to find out about our regular fortnightly morning meetings and how to get involved.

For more information, contact Martin at The Little Carpet Shop or Paul Ogden at Leigh Printers.

Local businesses supporting local businesses.
Stronger together.

Big smiles all around this week 😄🏡

Helping first-time buyers secure their mortgage offer on their new home, with some tight timescales too! ⏱️✨

We know how stressful the process can feel, especially when deadlines are looming, but with the right guidance and a proactive approach, great things can happen 🙌

Nothing beats getting that mortgage offer and knowing my clients are one step closer to their dream home 🏠💫

If you’re a first-time buyer feeling the pressure, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself 🤝
