Where it all began. I'm Darren from Lincoln Lincolnshire. I have had a special interest in washing machines since I was 2. Fascinated by them working and as I got older I wanted to know how they work internally and learn to fix them. Unfortunately I didn't get on with my electronics teacher and as a two finger salute to him I taught myself how to understand electricity and how to repair washing machines when I was 15 in my parents garage. I have a few machines ranging from 42 years old to brand new. I love to do laundry 🧺 I'm now 39 and doing what 4 year old me used to dream of when I would listen intently as our local repairman would patiently explain to me how things work as he fixed our machines.

I haven’t posted for abit so I thought I’d share my new tattoo I got yesterday. I wanted a retro washing machine to represent my tattoo and job and my tattoo artist knows me and came up with the superb quote “through the wringer” to represent my personal struggles. I am so happy with it and already got an matching theme idea for the other calf!
