One of my favourite things about being a VA? No two clients - or days - are ever the same.

This week, I had a discovery call with a therapist, and it got me thinking about just how many different businesses and industries I get to peek behind the scenes of. 👀

One minute I’m sorting an inbox, the next I’m creating social media content, chasing invoices, organising diaries, updating systems or figuring out a completely new process for a client.

Every business works differently, and every business owner needs something different from their VA - and that’s exactly what I love about it.

I get to learn about industries I’d probably never otherwise experience, adapt to how each client works and become a little part of businesses doing completely different things.

Basically, being nosey and loving organisation has finally paid off. 😂

And if you’re wondering whether a VA could fit into your type of business… chances are, there’s something on your to-do list I could take off your hands. 😉

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day 💛

Running a business can be amazing. But it can also be lonely.

Behind the posts about wins, new clients and exciting opportunities can be financial worries, pressure, overwhelm, long hours and the feeling that everything rests on your shoulders.

And sometimes, people are struggling far more than anyone around them realises.

As someone who is trained as a Mental Health First Aider, this is something incredibly close to my heart.

So today, I just want to remind my fellow small business owners, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs - and anyone else who needs to hear it:

Your business is important. But you are more important.

You don't have to have everything figured out.
You don't have to pretend you're coping.
And you absolutely don't have to struggle alone.

Check in on the people around you. Ask twice. Make time for the conversation. And if you're the person who's struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a professional support service.

There is help available, even when it might not feel like it. 💛

Apparently, small business owners spend around 30–35 HOURS a month on admin. 😳

That’s basically an entire working week every month spent on emails, invoices, diaries, spreadsheets and all those “I’ll just quickly do this…” jobs.

Let’s be realistic: they are never quick. 😂

Imagine what you could do with an extra working week every month if someone else handled the admin?

More clients? More money? More time off? Actually finishing work at a reasonable hour?! 👀

Your time is better spent doing the thing that actually makes you money.

Well… July certainly kept me on my toes! ☀️

It’s been one of those months where I’ve looked at my to-do list, blinked… and somehow it’s suddenly the end of the month. 😅

I’m so grateful that not only have I been busy supporting my wonderful retainer clients, but I’ve also welcomed several ad hoc clients too. One of my favourite parts of this month has been helping business owners actually enjoy their holidays, knowing someone was keeping an eye on the emails, admin and all those little jobs waiting for them back home.

I’ve also added MailerLite services to what I offer, which has been really exciting. I love helping businesses communicate with their audience without the stress of figuring it all out themselves.

Of course, it hasn’t all been spreadsheets and emails. The summer holidays have meant juggling work with two little ones at home, squeezing meetings in around snack requests, toy explosions and plenty of playtime. Somehow, we’ve made it work! ❤️

And the biggest highlight of all? Watching my little boy celebrate his first birthday. I genuinely don’t know where that year has gone.

A huge thank you to every client who’s trusted me with their business this month. Your support means the world, and I never take it for granted.
