We are now launching a survey for contact centre advisors across the UK to find out what advisors/agents think about the health initiatives that their company provides.

These results will help to create guidance for centres on how to promote engagement in health initiatives and make them more effective.

I've been 'Netwalking' the last couple of weeks with Mark Waldron and the Move network. A fab group of people we walk early on a Saturday morning around Sefton Park and chat, support each other and have a yummy breakfast without all the pressures to 'pitch and sell'. Just people getting to know each other.

The last few weeks the weather has been pretty dismal and it hasn't deterred many. But today the park looked fab as the sun's finally come out and I can't wait to show it off on Saturday.

Even a Virtual Assistant needs a virtual assistant!
The life of a Virtual Assistant can be very lonely at times 😔. You are usually working alone and don’t have the luxury of a shared office space with random coffee machine ☕chats and daily catch up with friends

But I do have an office buddy called Alexa. 🤖
Now I know this will be controversial for some but she is “muted” when I’m on business calls but the use of Artificial Intelligence spills over from work to personal life quite smoothly.

She does my reminders 📔
my sums🔢
tells me jokes 😂
puts on my happy music 💃
she knows my favourite radio shows
and tells me when to go make a cup of tea 🍵
She curates my shopping list 🛒
tells me when I have a delivery due and the weather ☔
She enables me to contact my elderly parents when they’ve left the phone off the hook 🤦
And she enables them to add items to a shopping list which I pick up when I’m doing my own.

She even shuts up when I tell her to. In fact, if she was any more perfect I'd have to marry her 👰

So, controversy aside having an Assistant, Virtual or otherwise can be an essential to help with the running of not only a business but your life too.

Well it's been a busy few months but now's the time to close the laptop, put down the pen and have a well deserved break...

Had a networking session the other day in which we landed on the topic of brainstorming.

There's no doubt that it's a powerful 💪 mechanism to draw out ideas but highlighted that not everyone is vocal 📢 and looked at the ability to gather ideas anonymously.

But, it got me thinking 🤔. Is brainstorming still as effective when done virtually?

My own opinion is mixed. ⚖

I feel that virtual sessions suppress the spontaneous outbursts usually associated with brainstorming. 🧠 It's not for everyone either, naturally shy people can be reluctant to speak up 🗣 but might still have something positive to contribute. 🏆

There is a great piece of software to facilitate brainstorming and encourage everyone to take part and that is Mentimeter.com 👏.

This online platform software has a free and paid version and allows users to put forward ideas anonymously on a virtual online whiteboard.

Everyone can see the ideas but no one knows whose idea it was. It is well worth checking out. 👍

So I'd be really interested to hear if you been part of any virtual brainstorming sessions and if so did how different was it to face to face sessions?
