Going through our hybrid units, it’s been fantastic to see the savings being achieved across the fleet. ⚡🔋
From single-phase 15kVA systems right through to 3-phase 90kVA inverter power, we’re utilising battery storage ranging from 20kWh up to 160kWh to deliver the best possible savings for our customers.

From 1st April to 31st July, the results speak for themselves:

Really satisfying to look back at the performance data from the last month across several sites, and one project in remote Mid Wales really stands out.

This site is powered by a 90/160kWh battery energy storage system, 5kW of solar PV, and a 100kVA generator, supporting a fully operational welfare setup including a canteen, drying room, offices, and a total of 12 cabins.

The results over the last 29 days have been impressive:

🔋 Generator runtime: just 50.5 hours
⛽ 93% reduction in generator runtime
☀️ Solar supplied 65% of the site's total energy demand
Solar generation in the UK can often feel underwhelming during the winter months, but this is a great example of what can be achieved with the right hybrid power solution. By combining battery storage, solar, and intelligent generator management, we're delivering significant fuel savings, lower emissions, and reliable power—even on remote sites.
It's great to see the data backing up the real-world benefits of these systems.

Just wrapped up a new off-grid installation near Elgin, Scotland — 19 cabins powered by a hybrid system that really shows what’s possible when you rethink the design.

Diesel consumption was a key driver on this project. Traditionally, we’ve used a single 115kVA genset running at ~80% load, paired with a 90kVA inverter and 160kWh battery storage — burning around 18 litres per hour.

For this site, we took a different approach:
→ 2 × 45kVA generators
→ Each paired with a 45kVA inverter and 80kWh battery pack
→ Combined output delivering the same 90kVA inverter capacity and 160kWh storage
→ Plus 5kW of solar generation

The result:
Fuel consumption dropped to ~7.5 litres/hour per generator — 15 litres/hour combined. That’s a saving of ~3 litres/hour, without compromising performance.

Beyond the fuel savings:
• No AdBlue required — a big win for a remote site
• Built-in redundancy — if one generator fails, the other keeps the site live
• Greater flexibility in load management and improved overall resilience

This system was fully designed and built in-house, specifically for our own hire fleet — tailored to perform in real-world conditions where reliability matters most.
