Why are we so scared of talking to customers? 🫣

Our Founder Ben Gaston says: “I first wrote on this topic back in 2020 for my sales blog (now available here: https://thehumblesale.com/just-ask). Then I was focussed on how involving customers more can unlock stalling sales cycles and deal progression. The more I work with businesses helping them with growth plans and sales performance (and from moments in my own career) the more I have become aware that the problem doesn't just exist at salesperson level, but it can go right to the top of an organisation, with sales leaders and other executives having zero customer facing time (occasionally actively avoiding it!).

This is a mistake. If we invest more time talking and meeting with customers to discuss our own challenges and plans, rather than just the live sales activity, magic will happen. We will learn, grow and sell more and our customer will deepen, paying back in loyalty and revenue in the times ahead.”

As we enter 2025, The Humble Sale is delighted to announce our official charity partnership with Rewilding Britain. Part of wanting to create a progressive B2B sales world built on genuine human connection is to ensure that the world we operate in continues to flourish.
