Starting with our training tour to sector-leading training programmes, workforce development initiatives and strategic collaborations with Black Women in Care

This year is focused on strengthening capability, improving standards, and driving sustainable impact across health and social care.

Save this calendar, share with colleagues, and stay connected as we deliver another year of excellence in workforce transformation and professional development.

January doesn’t feel like a fresh start for many leaders.
It feels like survival mode.

While other sectors talk about new goals, Leaders in Care step into January carrying:
• winter pressures that haven’t lifted
• staffing gaps and sickness absence
• compliance demands waiting in the background
• decisions that can’t wait, even when exhaustion has already arrived

This is why the first 90 days of the year matter more than any other period.

Research on leadership fatigue shows that prolonged decision overload reduces judgement quality and accelerates burnout.
In care, that doesn’t just affect managers, it affects teams, service quality, and the people we support.

Yet most leadership conversations still focus on doing more:
more planning, more systems, more urgency.

Very few focus on stabilisation, clarity, and leadership calm.

The truth is this:
If Q1 is reactive, the year usually stays reactive.

Leaders in Care who intentionally reset early are more likely to:
• make clearer decisions
• reduce constant firefighting
• lead teams with confidence, not urgency
• sustain themselves across the year

That’s why we’re opening 2026 with a focused leadership session:

Reset, Regain & Lead: The First 90 Days for Care Managers

This is not about pushing harder.
It’s about leading differently.

📅 29 January 2026
🕐 1:00pm – 2:30pm
📍 Live on Zoom
🎟 Free for BWIC Members

If January already feels heavy, this session is for you.

Because calm leadership isn’t a luxury in care. It’s a necessity.

The sector isn’t lacking information.
It’s lacking clarity.

Clarity is what allows leaders see systems clearly, understand obligations, and lead with confidence rather than pressure.

Before introducing another initiative, policy, or tool, pause and ask yourself:
What do I actually need clarity on right now?

That question changes how you lead.

This is how we approach our work at DCG, bringing structure and calm to complexity.

Beyond effective training our goal is to transform care systems.

At Dominion Consultancy Group (DCG), we work with Local Authorities, NHS teams, Integrated Care Systems, senior care leaders, government and organisations to tackle the complex challenges care organisations face:

🔹 Leadership gaps that slow team performance
🔹 Compliance risks that impact service quality
🔹 Fragmented systems that make delivery inefficient
Our approach is simple but effective:

We Diagnose - Intervene - Deliver Outcomes

Think:

🔸 Workforce transformation
🔸 Leadership development
🔸 Compliance support/Mock inspections
🔸 Recruitment etc.
Our work is designed to make a real, measurable difference.

This year, we’re focused on clarity, outcomes, and system effectiveness, helping organisations navigate complexity with confidence.
We believe leadership is not about doing more, but doing what actually works.

Let’s make 2026 the year your service experiences meaningful improvement.

3 things we hear the most every time we deliver a training session:

1. "The trainer made it simple"
Good training shouldn’t feel overwhelming. When concepts are broken down properly, staff leave the room knowing exactly what to do and why it matters.

2. "I understand the ‘why’ now"
When people understand the reason behind a task... safeguarding, documentation, crisis response, communication etc. they take ownership. And that’s what improves quality in real situations.

3. "I feel more confident handling this in practice"
Confidence shapes how quickly and safely staff respond. Seeing someone go from unsure to capable is one of the best parts of our work.

If your team needs practical, learner-friendly training that actually sticks, send us a message at [email protected]

We’re always happy to support your organisation.

Understanding autism and learning disabilities is essential.

When care teams know why someone behaves a certain way, or how they process the world around them, everything changes: communication, safety, trust and confidence.

If your team is ready to deepen their awareness and build more inclusive practice, you can learn more through our Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Training, visit our website .dominionconsultancy.com or reach out to us via email at: [email protected]
