You’re about to meet a woman who is equal parts preacher, entrepreneur, strategist, creative director, coach, and “girl, let me tell you what you’re doing wrong” friend.
And here’s the warning:
* Do not tell her you “can’t” do something too quickly. She will immediately start looking for a way around the problem.
* Do not bring her a vague idea. She will turn that little half-baked thought into a business model, brand strategy, offer, funnel, content plan and probably a Bible verse before lunch.
* Do not say, “I’m just not good at marketing.” Oh, she’s coming for that one. 😂
* Do not confuse faith with passivity around her. She believes in praying, absolutely—but she also believes faith without works is dead.
* Do not expect her to leave something alone once she sees potential in it. A business, a church, a product, a person… if she can see what it could become, now she has a mission.
* Be prepared to hear “Let’s go Bible” immediately followed by something surprisingly practical.
* And whatever you do, don’t ask her to brainstorm unless you actually have time. Because “one little idea” can become 47 ideas, three revenue streams and a new brand name. 😂
But the biggest warning?
She genuinely wants people to win.
Not just look successful. Not just make money. Not just build a pretty brand.
She wants people to do something meaningful with what God put in them.
And because she has built things herself—from the ground up, with very little money and plenty of figuring-it-out-as-she-went-along—she has very little patience for excuses dressed up as limitations.
She’ll encourage you.
She’ll challenge you.
She’ll probably make you laugh.
And then, somehow, you’ll leave the conversation thinking:
“Dang. Maybe I really CAN do this.”
That’s the dangerous part. 😏
Because once Joy gets you believing in what’s possible, she’s probably going to make you actually do the work.
