Will a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), signed and effective from 1st January 2021, further strengthen the UK Turkey economic relations and create a new modern climate for success? Are there any hurdles to overcome? This event will be a unique occasion to hear from expert speakers leading the agenda to the inception of a new defining moment of economic relations between the two countries. You will hear discussions on the new bilateral opportunities in trade and investment arising from the UK Turkey FTA, the new trade procedures and sector specific observations. On Thursday 15th October the CYBERPOL Global Cyber Security Summit reviewed and anticipated multiple security threats such as cyber terrorism and insider threats. This virtual summit was streamed via both Facebook and YouTube, to offer a comprehensive understanding of the main challenges, capturing lessons learned and best practices, providing operational insights as well as strategic advice on the way ahead to combat cybercrime. The Alderman said: “The summit will be addressing key issues such as cyber security policy and strategy, future cyber threats and landscape changes since Covid-19, and the cost of cyber-attacks from 2019 to 2025. There will be a focus upon collective innovative strategies and targeted responses to the evolving threats, Including protection of critical assets. There will be an insight into working with cross Industry and Government partners to enhance cyber resilience, before turning to supporting transnational cyber-counter crime operations internationally and optimising the use of technology to increase safety and security.” Alderman Emma Edhem is an elected member of the Upper House of the City of London Corporation and is joined by a key security players who represent Governments, corporations, banks, private businesses, academics, thinktanks, the military and other partners.
