It was great to be back with Version 2 delivering our Introduction to Networking training! 👏

This 1 day course supports those new to networks in entertainment, covering why we use networks on shows, what they’re capable of, and the essential hardware and software knowledge needed to get started.

With plenty of hands-on exercises, the team built and routed their own simple lighting and sound networks, gaining practical confidence they can take straight onto site.

Exciting News from West Training 🎓

We’re proud to share that our Managing Director, Chris, has joined Rose Bruford College as a part-time lecturer, supporting the next generation of lighting designers and technicians as part of the Creative Lighting Control course.

Chris is incredibly excited to take on this new challenge, sharing his vast technical knowledge and helping students develop the practical lighting skills they’ll carry into their careers.

And just to be clear… this doesn’t mean West Training is going anywhere. If anything, it makes us stronger. Continuing to work at the heart of education and industry ensures we keep bringing fresh insight, experience and energy back into everything we do.

Our Director, Chris, recently delivered a full day of Networking Training for the technical team behind Outernet-London London, the global media and entertainment company creating connected city centre entertainment districts where music, film, art, gaming and retail experiences come to life in truly breathtaking ways.
