On Monday, roughly a fifth of our team took on 36km together for Suicide&Co.

Every year, 36,000 people in the UK face losing someone to su***de. Our 36km stood for every single one of them - one metre for each newly bereaved person.

We took it on in different ways. Some walked the full distance, Josh ran it, Harold cycled it, and the rest of us split it in teams, each covering a stretch so every group completed the full 36km. 20 of us, one shared mission.

At some point, most of us will know someone who needs Suicide&Co's help. 36,000 people a year is a staggering reminder of how many lives su***de loss touches.

We've raised £9,746 so far, putting us just £254 away from £10,000. Thanks to everyone who's supported us, that will already fund over 320 specialist counselling sessions for people navigating this grief.

As the only UK national charity dedicated to su***de bereavement, Suicide&Co offers free specialist counselling, an early bereavement service, a helpline, and an app with personalised resources. They ensure support is there from day one, free of charge.

Here's Gayatri explaining exactly what the challenge is for.

Every year, 36,000 people find out what it's like to lose someone to su***de. That's what our 36km represents, one metre for every person newly bereaved.

On Monday 7th September, roughly a fifth of our business are taking the day out to take on this challenge together, for Make a Difference Day, a day any of us at Factotum can take to make a difference to a cause that's important to us.

Some of us are doing it for someone specific. Some because we've sat with a friend or family member who was drowning and didn't know where to turn. Some in solidarity with our colleagues.

We believe anyone navigating a loss like this should get help, properly, without having to fight for it or pay for it. At one of the hardest points in someone's life, knowing we can help them get to specialist support means the world to all of us. Suicide&Co is a national charity supporting anyone bereaved by su***de, through one-to-one counselling, a helpline, and resources to help people navigate their grief from day one.
