Sutton Croft Sutton Croft is helping small and employers access the Government’s Kickstart Scheme to create job

The Kickstart Scheme will fund hundreds of thousands of high quality 6 month work placements for young people deemed at risk of long term unemployment due to Coronavirus. The scheme will pay employers 100% of the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a weeks, plus employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. There is also £1,500 per job placement a

vailable for setup costs, support and training. Employers are only allowed to apply directly to the Government for funding if they are creating at least 30 job placements. Many small businesses and employers won’t be able to create that number of jobs but still want to take part in the scheme. We will be acting as a representative for small businesses and employers by bringing together applications from different employers to meet the Government’s threshold. You can apply through us and we will handle the application process with the Government. You will still receive 100% of the funding – we do not take a penny as the Government will cover our administration costs directly. Plus, any young people you employ after applying for funding through us will be eligible for our exclusive Kickstart Academy which will provide free training to develop their skills and experience. Find out more about the Kickstart Scheme and apply for funding today to create jobs for young people in your organisation.

How to get the young people into the kickstart scheme jobs you are advertising within your organisation:

1. Work coaches at Jobcentre Plus will use the vacancies you or your gateway submitted to match candidates to the jobs.

2. You or your Kickstart gateway will receive a ‘referral’ email each time a young person is referred to the vacancy.

3. Referred candidates may choose to apply for the job placement.

4. You’ll then be able to interview the candidates who have applied.

5. You or your Kickstart gateway will tell DWP when the young person has started so we can process the funding. You’ll be told how to do this in the ‘referral’ email.

Read our FAQs at www.suttoncroft.com for further details about your kickstart vacancies, payroll etc.
