Spent part of last week working closely with a client, getting into the detail of ingredients, sourcing, and what sits behind a product once you start asking better questions.

Partly to sharpen what we show through the app, but also to help the client see their own product story more clearly.

Where are these ingredients coming from? šŸš™šŸš¢āœˆļøšŸššŸ¤”
Are they local?
What are producers being paid?
And how clearly is that story reaching the consumer?

Transparency matters and we all want to know what we are consuming.

Alright so imagine this… and I are in Sainsbury’s, they’ve got the sweets, I’ve got the sugar intolerance šŸ˜… sounds like a recipe for chaos already.

But honestly… when fun meets informed choice, it’s a vibe.

Had a really cool moment with , and the Beta Squad team whilst they were gearing up for their sweets launch so of course… we scanned their sweets šŸ‘€šŸ“±

Because our app is built holistically, Not about good or bad (that’s fake news). Not about ruining the fun (measuring a candy apple against a broccoli). Just about knowing what’s inside, because being clued up is the real flex.

Whether you’re scanning sweets, grabbing snacks, or just curious about what you’re buying, having clear information beats someone else deciding what’s ā€œgoodā€ or ā€œbadā€ for you.

You decide that!

Really appreciated how genuinely curious they were about Cai and what we’re building. Always good energy when conversations start with interest.

One thing building an ethical business has taught me…

We think we know what we’re buying.
But when it comes to labels, it often feels like deciphering alphabet mixed with hieroglyphics.

Marketing is powerful. Sustainability language is confusing, and properly understanding what we buy takes time most people simply don’t have.

That gap is exactly why I started building solutions focused on transparency and informed choice.

Not perfect.
But as honest as possible
And always evolving.

I have been working on balance lately, and balance rarely announces itself, if you get what I mean.

It tends to show up in the small, intentional decisions that quietly and slowly shape who we become and what we create.

I am learning that balance isn’t about escaping the storm, it’s about finding where your stillness sits inside it.

Just a thought

So this is what I’ve been building and what I’m part of.

Future-thinking. Earth-aware.

Grateful for everyone who’s joining the journey and helping shape it.

A space of pure passion last night, faith, music, and community. New experience for me, beautiful to be present.

Today I said no.
No to a project that wasn’t ethical or sustainable.
It would have been extremely beneficial for them but not for the planet.
Focus is key. Saying yes to the greater mission matters more.
This wasn’t a comfortable no, but it was a firm one.

Every choice matters.
Clarity makes better ones possible.

I just posted about the 3 life moments that changed the way I do and think about business (on if you would like to read it). I was going through pictures of me at work - most pics of me on my laptop in random places and these popped up.

1- my husband who has mastered the art of coding, whilst dancing/rocking the toddler to sleep šŸ˜‚

2- me, at some work meet with my daughter running along side to catch up. 🄓

šŸ¤” I can't wait till we get to that point where we don't have to do everything ourselves but yeah just wanted to show you how we actually are surviving out here with young kidsšŸ˜†
