DON’T BE DUPED!

Last night as I was winding down and browsing YouTube videos, I came across one which has left me super angry.

A Muslim was duped out of 15% equity for a measly £5000 by some gurus of Islamic Finance! The cheek of these guys is that they made it sound like they were doing her a favour! How is this remotely a good representation of ?!

At 15% equity, we should be looking at investment in the region of £500,000 at least, NOT £5,000!

This case, amongst others I’ve come across from the mainstream too, is why I’m on a mission to help 1 MILLION !

Ladies, you do NOT give 15% equity for an amount that could’ve been a convertible loan! Alternatively, you could have easily made £5,000 organically if you knew basics of business building.

Do you know what a convertible loan is? Look, as it is your responsibility to upskill yourself & become business savvy. If you don’t, you will inevitably come across so called well meaning vultures ready to pounce!

What does it take to focus on making a profit in your business v ‘just surviving’?

Let’s face it. Making a profit in business isn’t easy but it isn’t rocket science either.

Focusing on making a profit as opposed to just enough will help you enjoy your business building journey but there are certain bricks that can’t be done without.

✅ A Leader’s Mindset - you have to step up & lead yourself seriously. Your business must be amongst your top priorities - not a hobby focus. Whether you like to identify as a leader or not isn’t relevant. You have to if you want to run a successful business. Otherwise, is there a point in being in business at all? You might as well get a job & hide away amongst the crowd.

✅ Discipline & Focus - as a leader you build discipline in order to perform at your peak & retain focus by identifying your North Star.

✅ Consistency & Persistence - you’re consistent in your efforts and persistent in chasing your goal of making a profit.

✅ Plan of Action - you work with a plan & once implemented, you tweak it where required. You will only be able to identify if your plan is delivering if you take purposeful & meaningful action.

Women in business supporters are also interviewed as special guests.

The Importance of Mindwork for Female Founders

Let’s call things as they are.

Women are physiologically different from men and our approach to running successful businesses does not have to be a mirror image of theirs. We take what suits our chemical makeup & priorities and leave what doesn’t to design our success.

As women, we have multiple pulls on our time, focus & energy but that doesn’t or shouldn’t mean that we have to play it small & not build profitable businesses.

What’s the point of being in business if we’re only going to worry about the next bill? Fact is, the same amount of focus & energy is consumed to earn to pay the next bill v bills for the entire year. The long term approach keeps overwhelm in check and burnout away as your bank account becomes healthier.

For female founders, in order to adopt the bills v bill focus, the importance of mindwork cannot be negated. Creating space for mindwork, be it outdoor activity, prayer or meditation daily helps to get into a balanced state of mind which results in a focused & positive mindset.

A focused mindset is the foundation that helps you POWER UP & PROFIT in business.
