The Compound Effect of Showing Up
Doing the right thing once is easy. Doing the right thing on the day you do not feel like it, on the day it is raining, on the day your inbox is on fire, on the day no one notices - that is where the results live.
Think of it this way:
• One workout does nothing. 200 workouts changes your body.
• One post does nothing. 200 posts builds an audience.
• One sales call does nothing. 200 sales calls builds a business.
• One difficult conversation does nothing. 200 of them changes a culture.
• 500 words a day does not write a book, and the great news is that less than 40 days of writing does
Consistency is what turns inputs into compound interest. And like compound interest, the early returns look so unimpressive that most people quit before the curve starts to bend.
