I never left

nursing...

I was scared too. ❤️

When I started something new, I had questions.

What if I fail?

What if I make the wrong decision?

What if people don't understand what I'm trying to do?

But eventually I asked myself a more important question:

What if I never try?

What if five years from now, I'm still in exactly the same place because I allowed fear to make my decisions for me?

That thought scared me more than starting.

So I decided to learn.

To take one step at a time.

To make mistakes, learn from them, and keep moving.

I didn't need to have everything figured out.

I just needed to be willing to begin.

If you've been waiting until you feel completely ready to start something new, remember:

You may never feel ready.

Sometimes you simply have to take the first step and trust Allah with the rest. 🤍

✨ The best investment I've ever made was in myself.

For years, I was so focused on working, paying bills, raising my children and simply getting through each month that I forgot to invest in the person who was responsible for creating my future.

Me.

I eventually realised something:

If I wanted different results, I had to be willing to learn and do things differently.

So I started investing in myself.

📚 Learning new skills.

🎓 Learning from people who had already walked the path.

💻 Stepping outside my comfort zone.

And no, everything didn't change overnight.

There were mistakes.

There were doubts.

There were moments when I wanted to give up.

But little by little, I became more confident, more knowledgeable, and more intentional about the future I wanted to build.

The biggest return wasn't just financial.

It was confidence, knowledge, choices and time.

So if you're thinking about investing in yourself...

Don't only ask:

"What will this cost me?"

Also ask:

"What could staying exactly where I am cost me over the next five years?"

I used to think overtime was the answer.

If I worked more hours, picked up another shift, or worked another weekend, surely things would eventually get easier.

But there was something I wasn't calculating...

The cost of my time.

As a healthcare worker and a mum, every extra shift meant less time with my children.

And eventually I had to ask myself:

How much of my life am I willing to exchange for money?

That's when I realised I didn't need another shift.

I needed another option.

So I started learning new skills and building an additional income stream alongside my career.

Not because I don't value my profession.

I do.

But because I also value my time, my family, and the future I'm trying to build.

If you're constantly working but still feel like you're not getting ahead, maybe it's time to ask yourself a different question:

What other options can I create?

There was a time when I kept asking Allah to open a door for me.

I just didn't know what that door would look like.

I was working hard, raising my children, trying to keep up with life, and wondering how I was going to create a better future.

Then I realised...

Dua and action go together.

I had to trust Allah, but I also had to take the first step.

I had to learn.

I had to grow.

I had to be willing to step outside my comfort zone.

That lesson changed the way I approached my future.

Sometimes the door you've been praying for opens when you're brave enough to walk towards it. 🤍

Tie your camel, then put your trust in Allah.

The night I realised my salary wasn't enough... changed my life.
I wasn't lazy.
I wasn't irresponsible.
I was simply relying on one source of income while my expenses kept increasing.
That night, I made a promise to myself...
I would stop relying on overtime alone and start learning new skills that could create more opportunities for my future.
That decision didn't change my life overnight.
But it changed the direction of my life.
